Studies in the past have focused only on the relation between the two constructs briefly. However, in the Indian context research is still scarce. The study used the questionnaire method to understand the relation between constructs. Perceived top management team has a positive relation with innovativeness in entrepreneurial firms. The study widens its scope by including the third construct perceived top management decision making style, in order to test the relation and its effect. The study findings indicated that perceived top management team vision and perceived top management team decision making style had a significant positive relation. Perceived decision making style acts as a moderator variable between perceived top management team (TMT) vision and organisational innovativeness. Journal: Int. The study followed an explanatory sequential mixed methods approach to analyse survey data from proportionate stratified samples of academics from the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics, social sciences and arts and interview data from 11 key informants, from two public universities in Ghana. Through descriptive analysis and Kruskal-Wallis tests, it was established that involvement of academics in research collaboration was low. There was no statistically significant difference, at the p < .05 level, in the number of research collaboration across the three academic disciplines. Although the condition points to the existence of a wider knowledge filter, it presents the nation with the opportunity to institute the necessary measures to step up the uptake and commercialisation of research findings. This is a desk research based on a case study of the Far-Western region of Santa Catarina (Brazil), with exploratory analysis level and supported by documentation analyses of official reports retrieved from Brazilian governmental agencies. Results evidenced that exportations can strengthen local development through the participation of SMEs, instead which occurs with big exporters that accumulate revenues. Although main SMEs tend to commercialise their products locally, and these SMEs face difficulties such as access to harbours and main transportation channels in the state, data evidenced that exporters SMEs are family-owned business which emerged locally and trade local and globally. This research sheds light on the consideration of deductive/inductive analyses of family-owned SMEs through exportations base theory and local development theory as tools for analysing the development of regions. The existence of hyper competitive conditions which lead the RTOs to adopt entrepreneurial strategies is the reason of choosing strategic entrepreneurship approach for this study. Developed model consists of seven building blocks, including the resources and capabilities, networks and strategic alliances, resources orchestration, exploration process, exploitation process, technological achievements which have competitive advantage and lead to technological competitiveness of the industry. Results of analysis using the strategic entrepreneurship approach increases the strategic understanding of RTOs and specifically enhancing the understanding of how opportunity-seeking and advantage-seeking are value drivers in a RTOs.
