The analysis employed the Web of Science database and the software tools VOSViewer and Sci<SMALL>2</SMALL> from 1956 to 2023. The results revealed that the USA has the highest involvement in NIE literature concerning citations and co-authorship. Moreover, US universities demonstrate significant representation in this field of knowledge, occupying eight out of the top 10 positions among the most relevant institutions in NIE literature. Among the most cited authors, economist Elinor Ostrom stands out, and the most cited publication is '<i>The Problem of Social Cost</i>' by Ronald Coase. This study elucidates the preeminent academic institutions that serve as benchmarks within the field of NEI research. Additionally, it undertakes the task of mapping representing publications, catering to individuals aspiring to make substantive contributions to cognate topics within this realm in prospective scholarly investigations. The methodology involved the use of both exploratory and descriptive research designs. The assessment of the national research status and review of literature on research quality frameworks (RQF) led to the identification of four main research quality dimensions and 16 new indicators relevant for Mauritius. The main contribution of the study is the development of a standard RQF with 42 indicators to assess research quality for Mauritian universities and research institutions. In addition to the RQF, a software for institutional research quality assessment and for associated policy decision making was developed. The use of the RQF was found to be a vital tool of national importance, for use by research institutions and higher education institutions (HEIs) in making strategic choices while pursuing their research agenda. Over the years, there has been significant improvement in the quality of counterfeit goods, making it almost impossible for the typical consumer to differentiate between the original and the fake good. Our aim in conducting the bibliometric analysis was to understand the current research landscape on counterfeiting. To focus the research on the subject domain related to business and consumer behaviour, we have narrowed the scope of selected documents in the fields of business management, economics, social sciences and psychology. Only articles from journals in the English language were selected. The analysis was done using software such as R and VOSviewer on the dataset of 362 articles, which were finalised after the exclusion and inclusion process. Journal: Int. The purpose of the study is to review peer-reviewed publications on the adoption of technology in HIE. A structured literature search was conducted in the web of science database covering a period of 23 years. Biblioshiny software has been used for analysis and visualisation. The most productive journals, authors, countries, and popular keywords have been found as well as their growth and changes over time. Evolving themes have been identified. The growth rate of HIE related publications has grown rapidly in the last five years and blockchain is the latest focus area. There is increased interest in EHR based disease registries and associated ontologies which further incentivises HIE. The shifting paradigm towards patient-centric care delivery and growth in potential for big data, artificial intelligence and other data intensive technologies in healthcare IT solutions will necessitate unhindered HIE. Research into enabling foundational technologies such as blockchain, data safety and security, semantic interoperability (for example, through ontologies) are expected to move forward concurrently, in a concerted effort to achieve secure health information exchange for all.
