Title: Analysis of the actual CSR expenditure: a quantitative study on NIFTY 100 companies
Abstract:
Indian corporate sector has consistently gained the mantle of being responsible towards society. However, recent years have witnessed an increase in the legislative interventions to create awareness among business organisations of their moral obligations towards society. Therefore, the present study is a comparative analysis of corporate social responsibility (CSR) expenditure by NIFTY 100 companies between the voluntary spending period and period after the implementation of Section-135 of the Companies Act, 2013. The expenditure on social and community activities, donations and environment and pollution control related activities have been aggregated to arrive at the CSR expenditure of companies from the financial year 2009-2010 to 2018-2019. The results show a substantial increase in the absolute, sector-wise, growth rate-wise, profitability-wise, theme-wise and percentage CSR expenditure of companies after the implementation of Section-135 of the Companies Act, 2013. Overall, results suggest that the rationale behind the implementation of Section-135 has been achieved by making corporate sector more responsible towards environment and society, with CSR expenditure having improved in the period after its implementation.

Title: Tone learning styles and tenor learning orientation: effect of learning styles on learning orientation for tomorrow's informated workplace
Abstract:
To build a progressive learning culture, managers in work situations capitalise on different learning styles of employees and accelerate their orientation in the learning process. This research study has empirically tested the effect of learning styles of employees on their learning orientation. Quantitative data regarding learning styles and learning orientation were collected from 270 respondents of 12 manufacturing companies in India. Path analysis was performed through structural equation modelling and the direct and indirect effects of the learning styles were determined by decomposing the structural equations. The study demonstrated that reactive, experimental, deliberative, and inspiring learning styles affect explorative learning orientation and reactive, experimental, harmonic, and inspiring learning styles affect exploitative learning orientation with varying levels of significant impact.

Title: Understanding gender differences in the attitude towards financial risk taking
Abstract:
Biological gender has been considered as one of the critical determinants of financial risk-taking behaviour, however very few studies have looked at financial risk-taking as perceived through the lens of gender psychology. This empirical paper attempts to contribute to the literature by not only considering both the biological and psychological aspects of gender (masculinity and femininity), but also by using a multidimensional view of financial risk-taking attitude. One of the significant findings of this study was that androgyny individuals were found to be more risk managing than any other psychological gender category. Some other findings were in concurrence with the existing literature. This insightful study adds to the scant literature that exists on psychological gender and financial risk taking and would pave the way for more work in this area.

Title: The role of socio-demographic characteristics in shaping willingness to accept electric cars
Abstract:
As the best solution to the currently raging environmental problems, the number of electric cars (ECs) and their users is increasing rapidly, yet they constitute a small share of the total Indian auto market. The present study aimed to analyse the effect of socio-demographic factors of Indian people on their willingness to accept ECs. The characteristics and geographic locations of the people of the Delhi-NCR region were charted, and 514 samples were obtained for final analysis through purposive and convenient sampling. Subsequently, the effect of their socio-demographic characteristics was analysed on their willingness to accept ECs. The findings revealed a significant effect of gender, education and annual household income, and an insignificant effect of age, occupation, and the number of cars in the household on people's willingness to accept ECs. The study's findings will benefit the prospective car consumer, policymakers, car manufacturers and marketers.

Title: Dimensions of flow experience in information and communication technology-based learning
Abstract:
Technology, nowadays playing a significant role in all aspects of life. Working with information and communication technology (ICT) may be associated with flow experience at work. This paper is an attempt to check the multidimensionality structure of flow experience and to answer the question of whether three-factor structure model of flow experience or the hypothesised four-factor structure model fits better in information and communication technology-based learning in higher education. For this, a sample of 156 students of Banaras Hindu University participated in the study. Two methods were applied, first exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted to extract the factor structure in spss 22 version and the fit of this has been then tested using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) in Amos 21. Findings indicate that a two-factor second order model better fits the dataset than the three-factor first-order model. This confirms the multidimensionality of flow construct, being absorption is the core dimension.

Title: Corporate reputation under crisis and the framing of the environment at Lanjigarh, Odisha
Abstract:
Lanjigarh, a constellation of rural and tribal villages in Western Odisha has been a contested terrain of multiple interest groups because of the clash of ideologies regarding growth versus environment. The arch-rivals, Vedanta Aluminium Limited (VAL) and the international NGOs, remain split between the paradoxical ambitions of social development and institutionalised agendas. Framing of the environment has become an <i>elite</i> practice for the promotion of ideology, power, and influence. While VAL's framing of the environment has remained a defensive strategy to protect its investments, the NGOs remain complicit in <i>blame-corporate environmental framing</i> through their relentless shaming of VAL in terms of lawsuits, media campaigns, and concerted public demonstrations. Integrating Hallahan's (1999) seven types of framing with van Dijk's (1993) critical discourse analysis, this study deconstructs the ideological underpinnings of environmental framing at Lanjigarh and the material conditions and anxieties that shaped them.

Title: Antecedents of customers' attitude and intention towards online shopping of apparel in India
Abstract:
This study examines the foremost antecedents of customers' attitude and intention towards online shopping of apparel in Delhi and Gurugram (previously known as Gurgaon), Haryana, India. Using convenience sampling technique, 223 self-administrated survey questionnaires were collected (197 considered usable) from the customers who had experienced online shopping of apparel and tested performing partial least squares-structural equation modelling. The results revealed that shopping convenience followed by product usefulness, trust, and price, positively and significantly impact customers' attitudes towards online shopping. Most notably, customers' intention towards online apparel shopping is significantly affected by convenience and customers' attitude, whereas trust has no significant impact on customers' intention to shop online apparel. The findings will facilitate e-retailers to understand the prominent antecedents of customers' attitude and intention towards online apparel shopping and plan out the customers-oriented marketing strategies for improving online shoppers' positive attitudes and intentions.

Title: Paradoxical thinking and entrepreneurial resilience: a study against the backdrop of COVID-19 disruption
Abstract:
Entrepreneurial resilience' acquires seminal significance especially during a crisis situation. With COVID-19 pandemic rendering unprecedented disruption over the worldwide socio-economic landscape, entrepreneurs and business managers necessitate resilience for mitigating various emerging challenges. Modern enterprises often face competing demands and contradictory expectations from its diverse stakeholder groups. Entrepreneur's ability to relentlessly acclimatise and thrive particularly during adversities, while balancing competing needs is a crucial characteristic that bolsters organisational performance. This investigation examines the potential relation between stakeholder engagement, paradoxical thinking/paradox mind-set and entrepreneurial resilience. The entrepreneurs' propensity to integrate conflicting organisational and normative obligations is likely to improve her/his resilience. Contemporary organisations innately embody many contradictory tensions. Paradoxical thinking embraces these tensions and may also help the entrepreneurs to respond with enhanced resilience. This quantitative study involving social entrepreneurs in India against the backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic indicates that stakeholder engagement is positively associated with resilience. This relation is mediated by the entrepreneur's paradoxical mind-set.

Title: Share repurchase: a review of the literature
Abstract:
This study aims to synthesise and analyse the existing literature on share repurchases. It summarises the key findings and identifies the potential research gaps in the extant literature. A pool of 206 research articles are chosen based on relevance and impact from a variety of reputed databases spanning over 1981-2020. The authors use the guideline of Templier and Paré (2015) and follow the narrative approach of literature review which consists of gathering and synthesising existing literature on share buyback. The diverse strands of literature on buyback are classified based on different research themes. The results indicate a paucity of research on share buyback in emerging markets (e.g., India and China). Overall, the research in the following areas is found to be sparse: buyback and firm's reputation and the wealth effect of buyback on bondholders. The impact of executive reward schemes post buyback and presence of industry effect remains largely untapped.

Title: A model for successful implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies in small and medium sized Indian enterprises
Abstract:
In this study, the results of empirical study carried out in manufacturing small and medium enterprises of Northern India, a synthesis of results and its inferences; two case studies of manufacturing enterprises in the same region; knowledge acquired from numerous stages of research; and a qualitative model to present the learning issues to develop a practical and effective management process for the successful implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies has been discussed. Utmost care has been taken to avoid repeatability and overlapping while developing the list of independent learning issues. Four techniques namely, analytical hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy set theory (FST), options field methodology (OFM) and options profile methodology (OPM) have been used for qualitative modelling. After this, an implementation plan for improving various output parameters by the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies has been generated while considering the approaches of optimism, pessimism and realism.

Title: Factors influencing industrial relations in the Indian tea industry: study in the Darjeeling, Terai and Dooars regions
Abstract:
Since the end of the last century, the Indian tea industry has been going through a major crisis. Poor industrial relations are one of the major causes of this crisis. Keeping this backdrop in mind, the study aims to explore the factors for poor industrial relations and examine the impact of various factors on industrial relations. In the study, opinions from 306 workers have been considered. Factor analysis and multiple regression analyses have been done. The result of factor analysis bought out five prominent factors of industrial relations. These are the 'management aspect', 'employment issue', 'welfare aspect', 'parental care aspect' and 'maintenance aspect'. Further, multiple regression analysis has been performed to assess the impact of the identified factors on industrial relations. The result shows that the 'management aspect' has the highest positive impact on industrial relations. However, 'parental care aspect' and 'maintenance aspect' have a negative impact on industrial relations.

Title: Gap analysis between the customer's expectations and satisfaction of real estate sector using the SERVQUAL model
Abstract:
The research is focused on understanding the level of service quality gap which exists between the customer's expectation level and satisfaction level for real estate services in Delhi NCR region. The gaps in service quality are identified and analysed with the help of the SERVQUAL model which examines the five dimensions of service quality namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The sample for the study comprises those respondents who bought a house or flat in the last two-year or planning to buy in the upcoming years. Data is collected using a questionnaire with 36 questions and each the dimension of service quality is measured on a seven-point Likert scale. The gap in service quality between expectation level and satisfaction level is calculated by subtracting the expectation score from satisfaction score. The paper also identifies suggestions and measures to minimise these gaps and ways to bring beneficial changes in the perception of customer service experience towards real estate sector of Delhi NCR's.

Title: The contemporary film public relations' ecosystem in India - from stars to stories
Abstract:
Indian cinema is now at its most experimental phase as we get to see unconventional stories more frequently than ever. While it reflects great creative progression in terms of filmmaking, at a deeper level, these stories are challenging the larger moral fabric that has existed conventionally. Of the many reasons that have contributed to this change, public relations (PR) is a major component. How do PR professionals build stories, create strategies that resonate with people despite having a starkly different tonality?

Data was collected from 536 respondents who not only uses various social media channels for purchases and gaining information but also prefers eco-friendly products across India. EFA and SEM techniques were used. The findings confer consumer's concern for the environment is being shaped by six main social media motivational factors namely word of mouth, interaction, entertainment, trendiness, dependency and trust. The concern of the consumers impacts their attitude and the positive attitude so formed has a significant and positive impact on willingness of consumers. This research takes a lead in analysing the construct willingness to pay a premium for green products because this has been comparably less explored in Indian context.

Title: Factors governing domination and motivation behind donation-based crowdfunding in India
Abstract:
Crowdfunding is an open call for financial resources from a group of people to fund a particular initiative with commercial and non-commercial motives. Crowdfunding in India is dominantly donation-based. The main objective of the study is to explore the reasons behind the dominance of donation-based crowdfunding in India and to explore the factors that motivate fund providers to participate in donation-based crowdfunding. The findings of the study reveal that the sense of pride and satisfaction, funders tendency to follow herd and trend, emotions and religious beliefs, fund providers choice of data privacy, lack of financial burden, and minuscule return promised in other forms of crowdfunding are factors responsible for the dominance of donation-based model of crowdfunding in India. The study also concludes that interest and association with the cause, project novelty and characteristics, shared thoughts and beliefs, prosocial motives, and personal networks motivate fund providers towards backing donation-based crowdfunding projects.

Title: An analytical study on the potential investors' perceptions towards reverse mortgage loan in Navi Mumbai Region of Maharashtra State
Abstract:
The reverse mortgage loan scheme is a wondrous income option for 'cash poor and home rich' senior citizens during their old age days. The current Indian demographic and socio-economic changes will increase the demand for the product in the next few years. The present study is to identify and understand the Indian potential investors' perception regarding the financial benefits and virtues of reverse mortgage loans in the Indian market scenario. After a decade since inception, Indians are unable to build an explicit opinion about the product. Their major apprehension is of losing the property at the end, which is leading to feeble perception towards the scheme. To make a successful product, the policymakers, and the loan providers should show a broader picture to the potential investors, and the potential investors should grab this opportunity to understand the product. This will be helpful for them to live their post-retirement life independently.

Title: Impact of macroeconomic factors on banking stock index: empirical evidence from Indian banking sector
Abstract:
In the present study, an attempt was made to explore the effect of the macroeconomic variables on the banking stock prices in Indian context. To proxy the trend of the banking stock in India, banking sector specific stock index in Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), i.e., BSE_Bankex was used. The outcome study suggested the existence of long-run association between the select macroeconomic variables and the BSE_Bankex which was arrived at by making short-run error correction at the speed of 16.12% per month. Foreign portfolio investment ratio and price factor were found to be exerting positive and significant effect on BSE_Bankex whereas the impact of economic policy uncertainty was found to be negative.

Title: Navigating leadership challenges in modern organisations through ancient Indian values
Abstract:
In view of the complexity of the environment today, there is a need to reassess the leadership skills desired from modern managers, as relying on usual leadership development theories may not be enough. Exploring leadership principles from the age old, time-tested Indian values might prove to be an important solution. The present study attempts to identify a newer leadership development way through ancient Indian values of Bhagvad Gita for addressing leadership challenges in front of today's managers. It adds to the earlier works in this area by identifying and describing the most significant leadership skills based on principles of Bhagvad Gita for developing leadership competence of modern managers through 'hermeneutics' methodology and an empirical testing support. The main contribution of the study is the proposed leadership skills development framework which will add value to the current leadership development initiatives of the organisations and help developing leadership competencies in a sustainable way.

Title: Occupational health and safety awareness in micro and small enterprises in select sectors of West Burdwan, West Bengal: an empirical assessment
Abstract:
Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) generate employment opportunities and thus promote livelihood standard for grass root level having no/nominal techno-economic strength. But due to participants' lack of skill to handle complex machinery jobs and no/nominal awareness of health-hygiene issues in workplace, occupational hazards often occurred there which is product and sector-specific. Literature supports that the perceptions of participants in maintaining OH&S awareness in MSEs depend on individuals' demographic features. In this paper, attempt has been made to highlight on the variation in perception on OH%S factors due to demographic features of the participants. To serve this issue, a micro empirical assessment is pursued on select sectors of West Burdwan and first-aid facility, drinking water, jobsite inspections, etc. seemed to have maximum relevancy in maintaining OH%S awareness there. MSEs, therefore, should adopt provision to promote OH%S awareness considering the requirements of the sector and different socio-demographics of the participants.

Title: Analysing the impact of green marketing mix on consumer purchase intention
Abstract:
In pursuance of environmental protection, marketers have started to focus on green consumerism in their marketing strategies and come up with various new methods related to adoption of green products in developed countries, but this concept is still evolving in India. This study develops a conceptual framework to explore influence of the elements of green marketing mix on consumers' purchase intention towards green products in India. The study adopted questionnaire method to account the observed outcome of customer survey and tested the hypotheses of model using multiple regression analysis. Analysis revealed that green marketing mix elements are crucial to predict consumer's purchase intention. Green product is observed as most important element followed by place, price, and promotion. Additionally, findings provide implications for policy makers and practitioners to stimulate the focus on green marketing mix while developing strategies.

Title: Determinants of capital structure: panel data analysis of Indian firms
Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to identify determinants of capital structure in non-financial firms of a developing economy. Using 2,327 firm observations, we examine the determinants of debt-equity choice. The analysis was carried out through ordinary least squares, static panel data, and dynamic panel data (GMM methods) econometric models. The findings reveal that greater profitability, size, business risk, and liquidity causes Indian firms to take less debt whereas the presence of growth opportunities makes them accumulate more debt. The findings of the study are useful for managers in planning their financing decisions. The study points out that capital structure decisions are dynamic, and determinants of short-term debt greatly vary from those of long-term debt. The results offer support to the pecking order theory of capital structure.

Title: Understanding OCTAPACE culture through insights from ancient Indian texts
Abstract:
Culture is an intangible force that influences organisational life and its practices. Also, it provides strength to gain a competitive advantage by enhancing employees' performance and job satisfaction (Rao, 2015; Kumar, 2018). The present study attempts to take insights from ancient or classical Indian texts such as Vedas, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, Manu Smriti, etc. to present a novel approach towards explaining each aspect of OCTAPACE culture. A literature review in this field shows that several studies have been done in management and human resource development from various perspectives. However, very few have been done to establish linkage between classical Indian texts and organisational culture, especially 'OCTAPACE'. As a result, this paper not only fills the gap in the literature of organisational culture but also provides some significant and insights on 'OCTAPACE' from ancient Indian philosophical perspectives. Moreover, such an attempt can help understand how ancient Indian values, which have stood the test of time, can help create a more sustainable organisational culture in the present dynamic world. OCTAPACE culture is relevant and critical for business performance and success because it brings higher efficiency and effectiveness.

Title: Developing a model of incentive-based compensation using a meta-synthesis approach
Abstract:
This study aims to develop a model for incentive-based compensation using meta-synthesis. Specifically, we reviewed more than 1,749 papers from relevant journals and conference proceedings. Dimensions and relevant codes were extracted using content analysis, and the importance and priority of the codes were determined using Shannon's entropy. According to our findings, the components identified in this model were categorised into two dimensions: <i>financial</i> (based on membership and performance) and <i>non-financial</i> (social, organisational and occupational). Moreover, the findings indicate that payment during retirement and disability, continuous cash and non-cash incentives, job advancement opportunities, medical insurance (unemployment and supplementary), favourable working conditions, growth and learning, ideal colleagues, the establishment of social relations in the workplace, and skill-based and performance-based payments are significant. In other words, they have been studied more closely and more repeatedly than the other codes in compensation systems.

Title: Knowledge of environmental sustainability in future leaders: a study of adolescent school children in Delhi NCR, India
Abstract:
Children are the future custodians of natural resources. As adults, they will formulate and implement various social and business policies that will impact the planet. Hence, it is important that they are well-informed about environmental issues. The present study attempts to assess the level of environmental knowledge of Grade 9 (14-15 years old) school students in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). The results indicate that, overall, adolescents have an average score in environmental knowledge. Children in private-run schools score higher than children in government-run schools. Gender does not have a significant relationship with environmental knowledge of the children. Father's education level has a significant relationship with children's environmental knowledge but the same does not hold good for the mother's education level. The overall participation of adolescents in environmental activities is low. Newspapers and school teachers are the top sources of environmental information for the school children followed closely by TV and internet. These findings have significance for environmental educators, school administration and environmental education policy implementers.

Title: Cellular manufacturing system practices in manufacturing industries: a pilot study
Abstract:
Industries are implementing efficient production systems for practical survival in the present era of intense competition. This paper aims to investigate the status of the cellular manufacturing system (CMS) in Indian manufacturing industries concerning the level of adoption, factors, and challenges associated with CMS implementation. A survey instrument was designed to assess respondents' awareness of CMS practices and explore CMS's level of implementation. Statistical tests were conducted to determine the CMS practices factors and challenges associated with the implementation of CMS. It is observed that in Indian industries, the rate of implementation of CMS is still low. However, the study shows that if implemented in Indian industries, CMS can be beneficial. In the Indian context, the current study would provide a future direction to conduct detailed research on CMS's implementation status.

Title: 'Stakeholder' and 'resource' labelled employee treatment practices and firm performance - an integrative review and implications for future research
Abstract:
Businesses have grown out of the traditional firm-employee relationships into appreciating employees as key 'stakeholder' instead of 'resource'. However, research regarding how an approach underlying employee treatment practices would serve firms' interest, remains largely incoherent. The paper through an integrative review synthesises relevant and related management literature scattered across various knowledge domains, i.e., stakeholder theory, organisational theory, resource-based theory, agency-cost theory. The paper discusses and offers propositions related to how 'resource-based' and 'stakeholder-based' approaches of employee treatment would influence perceived organisational support and perceived organisational justice by employees, thus impacting firm performance. Viewpoints differing from stakeholder perspective, which influence related management decisions, are also discussed. This study emphasises 'stakeholder' approach of management's decisions as proactive, inclusive and as a sustainable approach for employee treatment. It further stimulates future research in what is still largely missing, an integration of different perspectives for refinement of existing theories.

Title: Lead-lag association between foreign flows and economic growth in selected emerging economies
Abstract:
The paper examines the ties between foreign inflows and economic growth in emerging economies, namely Brazil, China, Russia and India over the period of 1992-2019. Vector error correction method (VECM) and Granger causality test are used to understand the long and short dynamics between foreign inflows (FDI) and economic growth. The empirical findings illustrate that both the variables are co-moving in the long run for India and China while there is no cointegration existing in Brazil and Russia. The results of VECM disclose that there is bidirectional causality between FDI and economic growth in India while unidirectional causality in China. However, in the short run, there is unidirectional causality in India, China and Brazil and there is no connection existing amid foreign direct inflows and economic growth in Russia. The present research paper will be enormously helpful to the regulators and policymakers of selected emerging economies in planning their foreign inflows procedures.

Title: A socioemotional wealth perspective on innovation in family firms: review and theoretical extension
Abstract:
This study conceptualises the heterogeneous relationship between different dimensions of the socioemotional wealth of family firms and innovation. Based on the comprehensive review of the empirical literature using the socioemotional wealth perspective (SEW), the author identifies four main themes as strategic decision-making, dynastic succession, internationalisation behaviour, and earnings management studied using SEW. Based on the gap in the existing literature, the author proposes a conceptual model on family firm's innovation using SEW perspective. The author argues that various dimensions of SEW have a heterogeneous impact on family firm innovation. Finally, the author proposes future search directions based on the gaps in the existing literature.

Companies capitalise on the accumulated profit by issuing the bonus share to shareholders. The information content of the bonus issue is perceived to be positive. This paper is an attempt to study the market behaviour pertaining to the bonus announcement by making inferences on the variation in price around announcement day. Using the standard event study methodology, the paper investigates the market reaction on bonus of the companies, which are included in the Nifty 200 index, for the period 2000-2019. A total of 171 bonus events announcement was studied for 61 days event window (-30 to +30). The result revealed the existence of a significant difference in abnormal return between pre- and post-event window and concludes that the Indian market exhibits a semi-strong form of efficiency. The pattern of abnormal return observed around announcement day strives as evidence for the findings that bonus issue in Indian capital market is anticipated prior to the announcement and leaves no scope for exploitable inefficiencies.

Title: Bridging the void: how institutional entrepreneurship can overcome institutional voids in Indian public organisations
Abstract:
There is limited research on the role of institutional entrepreneurship in public organisations, especially in the context of institutional voids. The public sector entrepreneurs' engagement with regulatory, normative, and cultural-cognitive institutional voids in a developing economy is, therefore, examined using institutional work. Through an in-depth longitudinal case study of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in India, institutional creation and disruption processes are identified as interrelated means to address voids in this context. The boundary work supported promising entrepreneurs in challenging settings, whereas legitimacy work helped to spread change outside organisational boundaries. Insights into public sector entrepreneurship in developing countries are offered.

Title: Comparison of e-service quality of Indian e-commerce websites
Abstract:
Service quality has been recognised as an essential tool to achieve a competitive advantage in this technological era. By providing high-quality services to its consumers, a marketer can distinguish itself from other online service providers. This research explores the determinants of e-service quality and then compares three e-commerce websites based on these factors. The five e-service quality factors, reliability, personalisation, trust, website design, and responsiveness, have been identified from the literature. The responses of 285 users were analysed using the ANOVA test to evaluate the e-service quality of Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal. The results indicated that the e-service quality of Snapdeal on all five factors was perceived significantly less than Amazon and Flipkart. Also, there was no statistical difference between the e-service quality of Amazon and Flipkart.

Title: Understanding attitude-behaviour gap in purchasing mobile phones
Abstract:
The relationship between attitude and purchase behaviour is the most explored area of marketing research. Many studies have shown a link between environmental attitude and mobile phone purchasing intentions. Today mobile phones are becoming a medium to express identity and desire like clothing and ornaments. The changing styles of mobile phones based on contemporary trends lead to their perishability, which may adversely affect the environment. Now the question arises, whether consumers who care about the environment can take more responsibility for the environment and conduct environmentally friendly mobile phone shopping behaviour, or whether their environmental attitudes are incompatible with their consumer behaviours. The discrepancy between the consumer's attitudes and actual purchase of eco-friendly products is attributed to the existence of the 'attitude-behaviour gap'. The gap is however being understood poorly and to date no equivocal consent is available. This study examines the role of demographic factors responsible for the emergence of the 'attitude-behaviour gap' with special reference to the young consumers, as they are the segment with adequate purchasing capacity.

Title: Do analysts become better forecasters over time? Evidence from India
Abstract:
There are conflicting studies in literature about how the analyst forecast bias, which can be driven by various factors, have trended over time. In this context, we study analyst forecasts in India over the past two decades (1998-2018), as well as before and after the global financial crisis (GFC) in 2008-2009, to find out whether the forecasts have actually become less biased and more accurate over time as the stock coverage and market liquidity has improved. In our initial tests, we find that analyst forecast accuracy has indeed improved over time/after GFC in India, as expected, as the markets have become more mature and efficient. However, when we control for the market turnover, representing the information environment as an additional factor, we find that the underlying bias has actually increased over time. Our results show that the improvement in forecast accuracy of analysts in India over the past two decades is mainly due to the improved information environment.

Title: Importance of integrated reporting from the perspective of stakeholders in India
Abstract:
Integrated reporting (IR) is hailed as a milestone in the development of corporate reporting. However, it is essential to contemplate whether stakeholders perceive IR to be imperative in their decisions. This paper aimed to assess the stakeholders' perceptions regarding the importance of IR in their decision making. The research was a cross-sectional quantitative study. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, and the Kruskal Wallis H test was used to test the hypothesis constructed to find whether any significant difference exists between the perceptions of different stakeholders. The study confirmed that all stakeholders perceive that information disclosed in IR is crucial for them in their decision making as no significant difference exists between their perceptions. Further, considering the Indian economic environment, the study's findings suggested some critical aspects that all companies should consider while disclosing their information through IR, which will benefit both companies and their stakeholders.

Title: Understanding brand pride in urban Indian consumers: implications for theory and practice
Abstract:
In an evolving young demography like India, consumers seek meaningful emotional connections with brands. This exploratory study adopts a qualitative methodology to comprehend a hitherto unexplored emotion of brand pride. Store observations and semi-structured interviews with experts and urban Indian consumers were conducted to arrive at a comprehensive definition of brand pride. The study also differentiates brand pride from brand love and proposes a 2X2 matrix with <i>the intensity of the relationship</i> on one axis and <i>emotions</i> on the other. These emotional expressions significantly impact both brand engagement and behaviour, through differences in brand loyalty, advocacy, evangelism, and oppositional brand loyalty.

Title: Relevance of small businesses in protecting a wildlife sanctuary and meeting sustainable development goals
Abstract:
The role of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in improving socio-economic and environmental problems of a highly biodiverse and culturally rich wildlife sanctuary in North India needs investigation. This area faces a severe ecological crisis due to heavy anthropogenic pressures. This sanctuary is located in India's three lowest-ranked aspirational districts, making it vulnerable. In order to understand the area's problems and potential of developing local-centric businesses for reducing dependency on the sanctuary, a literature review and field investigation was carried out through semi-structured interviews. These interviews were analysed using the qualitative software ATLAS.ti 9.0. Observations from field investigation, literature review and analysis of interviews revealed that the area could develop small businesses if proper support systems are provided. The work has identified four small businesses that are successful in reducing the pressure and conserving similar areas. These businesses can be replicated as alternative sources of income and meet all 17 SDGs.

Title: Study of Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita technical and managerial intellects with enlightening lessons
Abstract:
Ramayana and Bhagvad Gita are predominantly perennial sources of ancient Indian texts that evolved simultaneously with Indian society. Ramayan contains seven chapters that starts with Baalakand and ends upon Uttarkanda. Similarly, Bhagavad Gita's 18 chapters begin with Visada Yoga and end with Moksha Opadesa Yoga. These scriptures carry lessons based on philosophical, spiritual, managerial, technical, cultural, and moral values. This paper discussed various managerial skills and explored the different management lessons learned from Bhagwat Gita and Ramayana for enhancing managerial effectiveness. This paper explores various aspects of management practice like human values, trust, information technology, leadership, motivation, and moral values extracted from Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita. Further, it identifies the impact of these attributes on managerial knowledge-sharing behaviour. The study establishes the relationship among all four variables and proposes a knowledge sharing-based conceptual model.

Title: Need for integrating holistic education in management studies: a model curriculum based on Bhagavad Gita perspective
Abstract:
Present-day, management education aims at gathering knowledge and honing skills side-lining attitude that develops one holistically to think and act wisely, leading one to balance work and life. Kurukshetra, the battlefield in the Mahabharata, symbolises the inner conflict that man confronts every day in his day-to-day life, whether in education, workforce, or personal life. A plethora of literature exists on the application of principles of the Bhagavad Gita, a repository of all knowledge and wisdom, to soft skills, managerial skills and communication skills in management education; however, hardly any attempts have been made to integrate Gita into the management curriculum for holistic education. Given this background and the need for holistic education, the paper examines the workplace challenges and the need to integrate the application of the Bhagavad Gita principles to develop a holistic perspective of work and life. Keeping this in view, an attempt was made to provide a perspective for holistic education as well as to develop a model curriculum for the integration of holistic education in management studies.

Title: Industrial infrastructure development of cottage industries for inclusive economic growth in a sustainable manner: case study of the urban growth centre in Bishnupur, West Bengal, India
Abstract:
The cottage industrial sector has been both a concern and of importance over the years, however, significant intervention has not been seen towards its inclusive development facilitation over several decades. India, ranked 68 in 141 on GCI, is one of those countries which have numerous cottage enterprises and SSI but lacks resources, policies and practices to support their growth and development. The SDGs have formed the baseline for development but has a long way to go from acceptance to implementation. Cottage industries form the backbone of rural areas and have optimal opportunities for job creation; locally sourcing SSI has probable advantage for sustainable development over raw material importing SSI and cottage enterprises. Major obstacle areas include financial development, infrastructural growth and inclusion, technological innovation and integrated development facilitation. The paper explores past and recent developments in policies specialising in cottage industries and forms a stepping stone for further research and development.

Title: Modelling and prediction of COVID-19 to measure the impact of lockdown on organisation in India
Abstract:
This paper attempts to model and to predict the outbreak of COVID-19 through the susceptible-infectious-removed (SIR) epidemic model with a specific focus on India. The impact of lockdown on transmission rate has been exponentially decaying the transmission rate that is very significant in order to control the spread of the disease. The proposed model can approximately predict the newly infected cases and recovered cases of COVID-19. This paper is based on SIR-based mathematical model, designed to predict the newly infected cases and recovered cases of COVID-19. The transmission rate and recovery rate parameters studied are with the impact of a lockdown situation. The simulation result predicts that the epidemic grows on August-October 2020, and after that, it started to shrink with the assumed constrained scenario. This study measures the impact of lockdown on various organisations such as the health sector, e-commerce, IT sector, etc. in India.

Title: Analytical study of the effect of agnihotra on AQI and its psycho-social impacts: a perspective amidst second wave of pandemic challenges in National Capital Region of Indian subcontinents
Abstract:
This research paper is a step towards the study to see how Vedic Homa Therapy is an effective natural approach for treatment of any pollution, heavy PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles and the use of mango wood, cow dung and bargad wood in the cure of ailment, depression, pollution control by just focusing on its lyrics, sound, diction when done continuously. By performing Yagya, two energies are produced. Heat energy from fire of Yagya and the sound energy from vibration of the Vedic mantras; both the energies are combined to give self-healing results on any disease and its ionisation produces a vital role in curbing polluting particles. The study has done comparative analysis on emission of gaseous particles after Yagya post-second wave of COVID-19 and also through ML algorithms and statistical analysis; it demonstrates the auto correlation and high correlation on different parameters responsible for pollution measurement and for AQI.

Title: Statistical analysis of air quality by emission of different woods: facing the threats of global pandemic with Healthcare 4.0
Abstract:
Earth's atmosphere is mainly made up of two gases, nitrogen and oxygen, which together comprise of 99% of gases therein. The other gases comprise of the remaining 1% of the atmosphere. Amongst these are the five major air pollutants viz., ground level ozone, airborne particles or aerosols, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. Excess of these pollutants in the atmosphere is risky to human health. They are the main ingredients of smog air quality measured with the air quality index (AQI). An AQI under 50 is considered as good air quality however as the AQI number increases, it becomes a concern for human health. In order to find a non-conventional solution to the air pollution problem, it has been proposed to do Yagya, a fire process with three different samidhas namely mango wood, bargad wood and dry cow dung sticks and study their relative emissions and ability to reduce the aerosols PM 2.5, and PM 10. In this paper, researcher has measured the PM levels (PM 2.5 and PM 10) and carbon dioxide CO<SMALL>2</SMALL> along with AQI and temperature, humidity and parameters continuously on different woods in a fixed size room and constrained environment to establish that Yagya is a reliable source to reduce environment pollution.

Title: Employee engagement: a study of university teachers
Abstract:
The paper aims to examine the potential antecedents and consequences of work engagement among the sample of university teachers. Key antecedents of employee engagement considered in the study are rewarding co-worker relations, perceived supervisory support, compensation, and opportunities for development; while key behavioural consequences are in-role job performance, organisational citizenship behaviour and innovative work behaviour. A structural equation model is developed and tested on a sample of 282 university teachers in India. The results of the study found that the two major factors that predict the engagement of university teachers are opportunities for development and rewarding co-worker relations. The study further revealed that work engagement had a significant impact on all three consequences, i.e., in-role job performance, organisational citizenship behaviour and innovative work behaviour.

Title: Assembly line productivity improvement through TPM by controlling line organisation efficiency and out of balance index: an empirical exploration
Abstract:
The present study aims to examine the role of implementing TPM in improving the assembly line productivity of an automobile manufacturing industry. The organisation started implementing TPM to improve plant productivity by maintaining equipment, workplace layout improvement, and increasing employee morale. The case study data for this study has been collected after having discussions with TPM team members and reading the TPM reports and result sheets available with the industry. The TPM team recognised a significant scope of an improvement in fuel tanks productivity. The efforts were made to reduce the line stoppages, perform line balancing and carry out operations standardisation. As a result of these initiatives, the fuel tank assembly line's productivity enhanced from 140 to 158 units per shift within 14 months. This study is an innovative case study that demonstrates the effectiveness of TPM initiatives in enhancing the productivity of an assembly line in the Indian automobile industry.

Title: The influence of eWOM communications on intended online purchases: a literature review using TCCM framework and future research agenda
Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to review the studies on eWOM communication adoption and consumer purchase intention. Past research studies in this domain have involved empirical analysis, meta-analysis, systematic literature reviews and conceptual studies. These studies mainly explored the intellectual structure, defining the several constructs and justifying their relationships. The present study reviews 84 such studies through the background of theory (T), context (C), characteristics (C) and methodology (M). By applying the TCCM analysis, this study understands the adapted theories in eWOM communication and adoption literature and exemplify macro-level analysis (i.e., analysing the influence of platforms, industries and countries), micro-level analysis (i.e., understanding the antecedents, consequences, mediators and moderators used in these studies) and methodological analysis (i.e., analysing specific research approaches applied to these studies).

Title: Awareness on mental illness among adults of Tharu community in Nepal: evidence from a cross-sectional study
Abstract:
This paper aims to assess awareness on mental illness among adults of Tharu, one of the largest indigenous groups of Nepal. The dummy-based awareness index is used to measure the awareness level on mental illness and this paper adopted ordered logit regression model to check the determinant factors for awareness on mental illness among adults of Tharu. We find that 35.5% HHs have adequate, 34% HHs have moderate and 30.5% HHs have low level of awareness on mental illness. Results from ordered logit revealed that the overall odds of literacy were about five times and presence of health personnel is three times which signify better awareness among Tharu adults is possible with the increase in literacy and health personnel in the ward level. In the Tharu community literacy and presence of health personnel statistically affect and help to increase awareness level than any other statistically significant variables.

Title: Implementation of agribusiness model in a food processing industry to reduce potato losses: a case study
Abstract:
The potato processing industry is emerging as a fast-growing industry because of budding urbanisation, changing food habits, increase in per capita income, and liking for ready-cooked snacks. XYZ Ltd. is one of the earliest and major entrants in the food processing sector in India. The company was facing huge agro losses and to overcome these losses it initiated the implementation of innovative agro practices. It was the first multinational company to introduce collaborative farming for producing process-grade potatoes. The implementation of agro initiatives remained successful, and significant tangible and intangible benefits were achieved. As a result of the improvement, the tuber yield improved by 7.7%, savings on buying potatoes increased up to INR 19.1 million, with storage and transportation costs reduced by INR 3.0 million. In this paper, a case study to highlight the benefits achieved after the implementation of innovative agricultural initiatives in the company is demonstrated.

Title: How has evolution of corporate governance practices of banks in India affected quality of their financial reporting
Abstract:
Corporate governance (CG) aims to strike a balance between the interests of a firm's various stakeholders. Financial reporting is another key aspect of firm management. Few studies cover Indian banking firms' CG practices and QFR comprehensively. We aim to quantify the relationship between Indian banks' quality of CG and QFR. Leveraging Sarkar et al. (2012) and Gulati et al. (2020), we created a CG index (CGI) for banks in India. Using Beest et al. (2009), we created a QFR index. We compute these indices for 42 Indian banks and financial firms for four different years between 2010 and 2019. We find that QFR has improved in Indian banks as CG practices have evolved. We recommend making inclusion of CGI and QFR Index mandatory in the annual reports of banks so that the investor community and other stakeholders can use this information in a timely fashion.

Title: Spiritual intelligence lessons from the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible: implications for organisational behaviour
Abstract:
Spiritual intelligence (SI) has been looked at as a possible solution to alleviate the suffering of the world from problems like stress, anxiety and depression. Organisations also incur huge losses due to these. Several attempts have been made to develop the construct of SI by academicians around the world. This study fills the gap of limited efforts to conceptualise SI from the scriptures' perspective, rooting in two popular religious philosophies: Hinduism and Christianity. This exploratory study is based on qualitative research methods. Data sources used are 'Bhagavad Gita' and 'Bible'. Seven SI themes emerged via inductive content analysis - purpose of human life, self, nature, faith, worship, transcendence and interpersonal relations. Study proposes a SI model and its relation to three layers of OB. Article ends with the suggestions for future research avenues in SI. This study contributes to the holistic conceptualisation of SI and its usability in organisations.

Title: Values in the time of a pandemic: a study of social entrepreneurial values against the backdrop of COVID-19
Abstract:
This paper attempts to identify the set of values that social entrepreneurs deem most vital for their leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and captures their experience in mitigating various adversities regarding their financial and social mission obligations. It incorporates in-depth semi structured interviews and values Q sort analysis of 21 Indian social entrepreneurs. The findings underscore a set of espoused values that social entrepreneurs share and its interaction with the complex challenges they encounter. It also brings out the tension renascent in social entrepreneurship conceptualisation and reflects in the values' hierarchy, where social entrepreneurs strive to balance performance-oriented values with pro-social values in order to survive and maintain their social mission. The authors have also integrated the concept of <i><span style="text-decoration: overline">A</span>pad Dharm<span style="text-decoration: overline">a</span></i> espoused in the <i>Mah<span style="text-decoration: overline">a</span>bh<span style="text-decoration: overline">a</span>rata</i> to understand how the social entrepreneurs respond to various challenges.

Title: Indian firms' internationalisation research 2000-2020: research fronts and potential pathways
Abstract:
Emerging market firms' (EMF) internationalisation has become an increasingly important field of study. While studies on firms' internationalisation and related reviews for some economies are available, the literature synthesising internationalising Indian firms (IIF) research is scant. The purpose of this study is to explore the growth and trend in the IIF literature, identify undercurrents, explore major research fronts and the unique aspects, and suggest potential pathways. A combination of bibliometric analysis and an in-depth literature review on research published between 2000 and 2020 is employed. The study identifies significant contributors and influencers in articles, journals, organisations, and four dominant IIF research fronts. By combining the bibliometric analysis with literature review, this paper aids the IIF researchers by providing them with a bird's eye view of the phenomenon, highlighting the seminal works, prominent authors, dominant research fronts, the progress therein, and the potential pathways ahead.

Title: Sustainable micro-enterprise: matching and analysing success of microfinance
Abstract:
To ensure significant progress in global poverty eradication, countries combating poverty consider it a socio-political, and ethical-economic issue. Limited control over productive resources and/or no access to financial resources is the prime driver of income inequality and poverty. Microfinance is a policy tool that assists the deprived mass in creating productive assets through hassle-free access to credit. The current research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of micro-enterprises in poverty eradication across different wealth groups. A quasi-experimental research carried out over 476 microcredit beneficiaries, selected proportionately. A well-structured schedule was designed, and data collected through direct interaction. The bank linked microcredit programs are effectively creating employment opportunity. The wealth creation rates of households are not uniform across different wealth groups. The current research is limited to the geographical scope and sample size of the study. The study adopts a novel approach towards identifying the impact of microfinance across different wealth groups.

Title: Attitudinal and behavioural reaction of employees towards CSR: a review and research agenda
Abstract:
Presently, scholars are paying more attention to micro-level CSR and they have looked into how employees' perceptions of CSR shape employee outcomes. To advance this area of research, we aim to present a literature review on the attitudinal and behavioural reaction of employees in response to organisation's CSR activities over the years. We reviewed the existing academic literature on these aspects, such as why, how, and when CSR initiatives could affect the employees. A systematic review of the literature is conducted with 74 articles from top listed journals searching online databases such as Emerald Insight, JSTOR, Google Scholar, Science Direct and Routeledge Taylor and Francis Group. The study discloses a pattern of research in CSR over the years and makes recommendations for future research, such as embracing the cross-national contexts and improving practical relevance. This review adds value to management literature in understanding CSR at micro-level.

Title: Importance of emotional quotient and spiritual quotient on employee engagement in IT/ITES industries during COVID-19 pandemic
Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic was a worldwide emergency, seen unrivalled rapid growth and has affected the numerous business areas. It has obligated numerous organisations to roll out revolutionary vicissitudes to the work-environment just as to their work-force, which made uncommon disturbances to their employees both personally and professionally. Researchers state that with the help of emotional quotient (EQ) as a central component, organisational behaviour subtleties can be understood and addressed to enhance employee engagement (EE). On the other hand, spiritual quotient (SQ) reinforces human consolidative impression of completeness and has the ability to think beyond materialistic life, which thrusts individuals to spiritual path and furthermore assists them to adapt to agonising conditions of life. This study revealed that the EQ and SQ are important aspects in service industries like IT and ITES in enhancing the EE during pandemic times, and correlation analysis showed a positive relationship among them.

Title: Influence of organisational citizenship behaviour on the individual work performance of IT and ITES employees
Abstract:
Survival of any business is dependent on the performance of the organisation, which is the collective measure of individual work performance of the employees, and has been a major challenge for the IT and ITES sector where the performance management system is continuously evolving and many employees are on job cuts and in benches due to poor performance. Organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) is a concept where the employee tries to contribute to the organisation without expecting high rewards for the extra role behaviours at work. This empirical study tries to establish the relation between the OCB and individual work performance (IWP) of the employees in IT and ITES sector. The data was collected from 500 employees and non-probability, convenient sampling technique was adopted. Regression analysis was conducted to find out the relationship between OCB, OCB-O, OCB-I and IWP. The results of the analysis revealed a significant relationship among the variables.

Title: Duryodhana, 'the leader': traced beyond 'the known'
Abstract:
The paper seeks to observe <i>The Mahabharata</i> as a mythical narrative, to undergo an explorative study and evaluate the possibilities of values and traits from multiple perspectives. The humongous literature has been diluted into fiction with episodes extracted to elucidate individual characters. The outstanding content wrapped in immense wisdom when probed on leadership especially of the shaded characters, widens new vistas of learning and understanding. The paper seeks to observe through discourse methodology, Anand Neelakanthan's works <i>Ajaya: Roll of Dice</i> and book two <i>Ajaya, Rise of Kali: Duryodhana's Mahabharata</i> respectively that attempts to break the dichotomy and centres on new avenues of thoughts with variation among identical plot construction. The focal point here is on <i>Duryodhana</i> who is less exposed in terms of understanding and leading. For him perceiving the world as an opportunity and taking a chance to change was the truest thing a leader should do for his people.

Title: Exploring influences on social entrepreneurial intentions among Indian students: the function of gender role orientation
Abstract:
Societies are changing, including attitudes toward gender roles. This research uniquely considers the influence of individual's gender role orientation (i.e., expressive and instrumental traits) on social entrepreneurial intentions (SEI) among Indian students at the nascent stage of learning about social entrepreneurship. Quantitative analysis results support and challenge previous research on SEI antecedents and suggest that measuring gender role orientation, rather than differences between men and women will enhance our understanding of the millennial and Gen Z aspirations to do well while doing good. Recommendations for public policy and business education are offered to strengthen previous findings that associate strong entrepreneurial ecosystems with economic and social growth.

Title: Is m-shopping a reasoned action? Evaluating the role of intention and perceived risk in Indian m-shopping behaviour
Abstract:
This study attempts to explain m-shopping behaviour of Indian consumer durable<SMALL>1</SMALL> customers through the theoretical lens of consumer perceived risk and reasoned action. For deeper understanding of the role of perceived risk in m-shopping behaviour, the study evaluates whether attitude and intention fully mediate the effect of risk on behaviour. A representative dataset of 485 respondents was analysed through multi-analytic techniques of structural equation modelling and neural network analysis for examining the contribution of the determinants of m-shopping behaviour. The perceived risk was found to have direct effect on m-purchasing action, besides having indirect effect through attitude and intention. This research offers new insights into the role played by perceived risk during check-out from mobile shopping cart and contributes in explaining the gap between intention and actual buying action.

Title: Graduation hypothesis: does government social spending follow the pattern of fiscal response?
Abstract:
This paper provides evidence for the cyclical behaviour of public social spending in 65 industrial and developing countries during 1980-2010. In view of the recent economic crisis, we pay particular attention to whether government spending in the social sector has followed the pattern of fiscal response: whether the developing world could escape the procyclicality trap and behave countercyclically. The estimates based on correlation and panel regression analysis show that developing countries were able to graduate from procyclical to countercyclical social spending. The study further examines the factors that affect the way social spending is conducted in these countries. Given the current pandemic situation, it is believed that developing countries could address the health crisis by undertaking comprehensive reform programs to slow the spread of the pandemic and alleviate the economic damage.
