Bibliometrics was utilised to analyse 986 Scopus entries from March 23, 2022, to summarise 65 years of social science export research to close this gap. Using Harzing's Publish or Perish and VOSviewer, it reveals that within 2006 to 2022, there was a consistent and substantial annual growth in export performance research and it reached its peak in 2017. The trend indicated that the research was carried out by multiple authors in various languages, with innovation, competitiveness, internationalisation, and market orientation being the most influential factors affecting export. The current study's findings aim to provide guidance to scholars and practitioners for future research and offer pragmatic advice and observations to corporations, policymakers, and parties involved in global commerce. This will assist them in making well-informed decisions, minimising risks, and maximising global market opportunities. Journal: Int. The trends of the three profitability ratios (return on equity (ROE), return on investment (ROI) and return on asset (ROA)) and the three capital ratios (leverage, current ratio and quick ratio) were analysed using financial statements data. The results were processed using various statistical methodologies, including ANOVA and Tukey-Kramer tests. The economic performance was almost always positive, with an evident and common negative pandemic effect followed by a widespread and rapid recovery. Companies are everywhere undercapitalized but with good liquidity and a relatively satisfactory working capital structure. There are frequent statistically significant differences between the three states. Journal: Int. Despite growing interest in these concepts, there is still a gap in research focused on the critical role of OLA in nurturing innovation capability and facilitating firms' internationalisation. To bridge this gap, a robust three-phase systematic literature review (SLR) was employed. First, a typology-based literature review traced the evolution of OLA models. Subsequently, a comprehensive scoping review established the foundational principles and conceptual framework underpinning these key concepts and their interrelations. Rigorous qualitative content analysis was then performed to answer the research questions. The study culminated in the development and validation of a novel framework elucidating the interrelations among OLA, innovation capability, and internationalisation. The systematic, multi-stage review ensures a focused literature review, identifying the most pertinent publications and offering a holistic understanding of key concepts and their implications in the global arena. Conducted remotely, the study included 16 in-depth, semi-structured interviews spanning three continents to examine how these firms manage their resources and leverage diversity. A key finding from this research was that successful BGFs typically adopt a 'mosaic workforce' approach, characterised by a blend of distinctive and indispensable individuals. This workforce diversity was seen as a critical intangible asset that requires respect, nurturing, and strategic management. Subject matter experts consistently underscored the importance of diversity, emphasising that it is deeply embedded within their organisations through a strong corporate culture and a cohesive management philosophy. This alignment of values and leadership reinforced the commitment to team diversity, demonstrating its integral role in fostering innovation and competitive advantage in global markets. Journal: Int. It makes a significant contribution to the upcoming AI-based solutions recruitment process in practice and research. The study identifies the barriers and sub-barriers to adopting artificial intelligence in the hiring process of MSMEs and then assesses their weights utilising the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique, which further helps in prioritising the barriers. The findings reveal that environmental and organisational barriers are the two most crucial barriers affecting AI adoption in the hiring process of MSMEs. Moreover, lack of government support, lack of competitive pressure, lack of adequate IT infrastructure, and performance-to-cost value are the top four sub-barriers that are most important for driving AI adoption in MSMEs. The results can help HR managers in decision-making for adopting AI-enabled solutions in the hiring process. Journal: Int. Human capital, primarily owners' education, is one of the substantial factors influencing the capabilities of ICT utilisation. This study aims to examine the potential nexus between those two findings by testing whether the education of micro and small enterprise owners augments the positive impact of internet adoption on export outcomes. We conducted a survey of 576 MSEs residing in the province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in January 2018. This study found that the education of micro and small enterprise owners augments the positive impacts of internet adoption on export outcomes, particularly export probability. For owners with or without primary education, internet adoption has not brought any effects. Three specific uses of the internet-business communication, buying and selling, and financial transactions-were found to be augmented by education in bringing positive effects on export probability. This study examines the causes of art globalisation and the effects of anti-globalisation by analysing the impacts of cultural policies and major events on art museums. A comparative analysis of France and the UK shows that funding and cultural policies are determinants in maintaining a local focus on the arts or acquiring foreign artworks and expanding globally. France has pushed for cultural decentralisation and democratisation, which have encouraged art museums to globalise to enhance financial performance and cultural reach. In contrast, the UK experienced a major anti-globalisation event that is curtailing the extent of art circulation. Nationalism is diminishing funding, restricting artists' movements, and restraining international artwork exchange. Countries aspiring to have a global cultural influence need legislation that enables and stimulates cultural institutions to expand globally. Art globalisation initiatives may not succeed, given the rise of anti-globalisation around the world. Journal: Int. Thus, this study examines how 193 Danish small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) trust levels and their perceptions of how this trust is composed correlate with their confidence in the future of trading with their British business partners in the context of Brexit and COVID-19 towards the end of the so-called "transition period". The survey shows that when Danish CEOs have high levels of trust in their business partner, they also have strong confidence that a valued business relationship will survive exposure to disruptive exogenous events. The survey also shows that the trust dimensions recognised as either expertness, truthfulness, or attentiveness in a business partner are almost equally valued and correlate equally with the respondents' confidence in the future. An empirical approach was employed to test the research hypotheses. A survey was conducted among 70 Iranian exporting SMEs, and their responses were analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM) to explain the theoretical model and assess the research hypotheses. The study revealed that digitalisation exerts both direct and indirect effects on the export performance of Iranian SMEs. Notably, the indirect effect mediated by export readiness was found to be more substantial than the direct effect. This suggests that SMEs can significantly enhance their export performance by embracing digital technologies. The results underscore the significance of SMEs' readiness in realising the full potential of digital technologies to achieve export targets. Journal: Int. We employ eight criteria to answer the above research questions. Avenues of future research emerge from the analysis of the research questions above as well as the proposals of the reviewed papers. We conclude that most studies analyse one country (developed countries) with the use of qualitative tools. Also, neoclassical theory is mostly used by researchers and policy makers to explain empirical observations and form policies. Further, there is rather inconclusive evidence on the relative value of loan guarantee schemes regarding firms' performance. Future research could re-examine theoretical lens and methods. To support equal opportunities and sustainable development, it seems essential to better understand how the main antecedents of the gender gap interact with each other in shaping gender-differentiated experiences in management and entrepreneurship. Results reveal that, to trigger social interaction processes oriented toward favouring women's representation within firms, policy makers should foster the economic development and the minimisation of structural inequalities by mainly leveraging socio-cultural factors. By holistically and interactively investigating the gender gap in business, the present study not only establishes a solid background for the continued evolution of this research frontier, but also offers an integrated framework of policies and practices that encourage female entrepreneurship, facilitate inclusive behaviours on the part of organisations, and generate virtuous circles in the social systems. This study aims to unravel the interplay of multifaceted factors that lead to startup failure (SF) in an emerging context. The paper takes an exploratory, qualitative approach to startup ecosystem development in Kosovo, focusing on SF. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews with representatives of four incubators. Thematic analysis is used to extract, group, and examine interview data. Findings reveal several causes of SF, grouped into three levels: individual, organisational, and environmental. The most common factors are related to financial challenges, product-market fit, team dynamics, entrepreneurial mindset, ecosystem support, industry-specific factors, and institutional barriers. The novelty of this research is that it focuses on an under-explored context, like the emerging economy, and it also provides insights for academia, policymakers, and ecosystem practitioners in similar contexts. This paper discusses the relationship between entrepreneurial ecosystem pillars and entrepreneurial mindset. A partial least squares (PLS) structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyse and test the hypothesised research model. The obtained data revealed that ecosystem dimensions play an important part in the entrepreneurial mindset, namely, government policies, financing opportunities, and cultural factors as strong predictors of the entrepreneurial mindset. Our findings suggest that not every program can benefit and boost entrepreneurial initiatives unless it provides some usefulness and support to entrepreneurial activities. On the contrary, well-designed programs driven by entrepreneurial needs analysis can produce more positive perceived benefits for the entrepreneurial mindset. This study is one of the first to analyse the ecosystem environment and its impact on the entrepreneurial mindset in an emerging market, specifically in the Kuwaiti context. Journal: Int.
