A case study was conducted in Kabul, Afghanistan. In this research, we considered a system where children's buying behaviour was the output and food advertising and moderator variables namely age, siblings, gender, parent's influence and media type were considered as inputs. The study relied on primary data collected from 385 children aged between 5 and 15. Data were analysed with STATA 2013. The data and statistical models were tested for validity and reliability; the tests included Cronbach's alpha, Jarque-Bera, Bruesch-Pagan/Cook-Wisberg, Winsorization, Skewness and Kurtosis, Akaike information criterion (AIC), and variance inflation factor (VIF). The study found that television advertisements had the most influence on purchasing behaviour of children directly or indirectly through their parents. The study also found that the magnitude of advertising outcome on children varied based on moderator variables mentioned above. Journal: Int. For this purpose, we present a mathematical model for network design with the objective of the cost minimisation and optimal demand satisfaction under demand uncertainty situation. The queuing theory usage helps to better model the congestion item caused by customers' referrals to the facilities of the transportation network. Moreover, a numerical example is solved to demonstrate the validity of the proposed model. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first study which looks at the congested transportation network problem considering demand uncertainty from a queuing theory perspective. Due to this, the importance of after sales service is increasing. The aim of this study is to identify the impact of after-sales service quality delivery on customers' overall satisfaction in the retail sector. Also, the impact of overall satisfaction on word of mouth and repurchase intention. A sample of 330 responses were collected through questionnaire by purposive sampling technique from the customers who had purchased an electronic equipment (UPS or air conditioner). EFA, CFA and SEM analyses were performed to measure the relationships among constructs with the help of SPSS and Amos. The result revealed that after-sales service quality delivery affects customer overall satisfaction which leads to repurchase intention and word-of-mouth. This study helps the retail and marketing managers as it allows them to differentiate their offerings in order to develop the long-term relationship with their customers. This paper especially caters to the retail sector which is dynamic and where customers are highly involved. Journal: Int. This ranking makes available information about the management of resources from players that invested in funds in Brazil. The institutions that are included in this ranking are ordered based on the total amount of the net equity under management in all categories of investment funds. The research presented in this article applies the TODIM multi-criteria method for building the ANBIMA ranking of June 2017 using the ten best-positioned institutions. In order to accomplish this, each participating institution is considered as an alternative and each category of investment fund functions as a criterion. This allows for a comparison between the ANBIMA ranking against the ranking obtained by using the TODIM method. This comparison points to the possibility of making use of a new, enriched system to order the institutions based on pairwise analyses and taking into account expressions of gains and losses. Abstract: In emerging markets, the rapid expansion of online retailing is mainly driven by new adopters from lower-income consumer segments. However, little is known about the behaviour of this group in online retail. This study evaluates the relationships between e-loyalty, e-satisfaction, e-trust and e-quality, paying particular attention to the moderating role of consumer income. Data were collected from a sample of 1,020 Brazilian consumers via a web survey and were analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM). Among the main results, this study finds that consumers from the higher-income group pay more attention to the quality of website information, while consumers from the lower-income group emphasise the importance of fulfilment. E-satisfaction is more important than e-trust in determining e-loyalty and these relationships are moderated by income. Online retailers should pay special attention to tailoring their promotional efforts to foster consumer loyalty according to different consumer income groups. Journal: Int. The present work identifies new factors (adaptation to change, government policies, selection criterion of the project portfolio, work environment, product satisfaction, entropy, stress, and ethics), the same ones that have been supported in the theories of human and organisational behaviour, these affect all stages of the technology transfer process from university to industry. The study was made based on confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and the model of structural equations and was carried out on 85 universities in four countries of the Andean region. The obtained results confirm that, at 95% confidence, the proposed factors influence all stages of the technology transfer process. Journal: Int. The Taiwan National Health Insurance Database is used for collection of domestic TB cases during 2004-2011 to study these TB patients and their drug prescribing patterns in order to build a model to predict the risk of drug-drug interaction between hepatitis B and C, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and TB. The results out of the total 188,032 TB patients have shown that 77,574 have taken anti-TB drugs. Afterwards, DILI occurred in 0.7% of the cases. Besides, for those DILI patients associated with TB and hepatitis B or C, this study reveals that DILI is associated with the use of ethambutol and rifampin. It is suggested that TB patients associated with hepatitis C should pay attention to their uses of rifampicin, and TB patients (especially males) associated with hepatitis B should pay attention to the ethambutol's impact on DILI. Moreover, our results also showed that having both AIDS and TB shows no significant effect on DILI. Journal: Int. We focus on the integration of this paradigm in the development of real-time systems. AOP is based on the weaving process to automatically integrate separately created segments of code, into the application. In the context of real-time systems, this can compromise determinism by including constructs that may violate real-time constraints. In this paper, we both study and test the AspectAda language, an existing aspect extension for Ada, in order to adapt its implementation to respect real-time constraints. We study this language's grammar, runtime and especially weaving operations. Then, we extract its limits and provide solutions to adapt it to support real-time constraints. Finally, we propose a new architecture of the compiler/weaver to overcome the problems of the existing one and we detail its different parts. Journal: Int. We apply a structural equation modelling approach to survey data from 318 respondents in the Danish municipal sector. We argue that links exist between different types of performance systems and a number of performance outcomes. More specifically, we explore how different performance measures such as benchmarking, employee significance, innovation, accounting models and systems, strategy execution and cost allocation directly or indirectly affect performance. In particular, our data suggests that the association between adoption of accounting systems and performance is fully mediated through both strategy execution and cost allocation. Practitioners can improve specifications for examining the effects of different measures and gain an understanding of the mediating effects of accounting and management concepts. These findings add to our understanding of the functioning of performance management systems within the public sector in theory as well as in practice. Journal: Int. In such a context, formal methods become an advocated practice in software engineering for rigorous analysis. Yet, they are applied on specific formalisms to be analysed on dedicated tools. This paper studies the formal verification of real-time systems modelled with the AADL language and its behaviour annex. We define a formal semantics of an AADL behavioural subset using the LNT language. This work is illustrated with a robot case study. Journal: Int. However, companies have faced various barriers in its implementation. Thus, proper identification and evaluation of these barriers is necessary to achieve effective results. In this paper, an integrated framework based on grey relational analysis (GRA), DEMATEL and analytic network process (ANP) methods is proposed to identify and evaluate the barriers to green supply chain management (GSCM) implementation in manufacturing industries. Drawing upon an extensive literature review, a reference framework of the GSCM barriers is developed consisting of two main groups, namely internal and external barriers. GRA is used to deal with ambiguity in experts' assessments. Also, the interactions and cause-effect relationships among the GSCM barriers are evaluated using DEMATEL. The relative importance of the barriers is then identified by integrating results of DEMATEL and ANP. The proposed framework is implemented in a case study of an auto manufacturing company. The results show that, by taking interrelationships of the barriers into consideration, the factors related to customer and market and business partners as well as social and managerial factors are the most important barriers to effective implementation of GSCM initiatives in the case company. However, most of these approaches merely exhibit any compliance with service design facets described in reference architectures. Moreover, majority of this approach lacks correspondence between the business process facets to service design facets and its real-world effects. This leads to semantic gap between services representation, its association with the business processes, and invocation of services to its real-world effects. In this paper a formal model of service-oriented system (SOS) is proposed. The SOS is divided into information model, process model and action model. The semantic relationship between these models helps in reducing the gap between the business processes and services, as well as services to its real-world effect. Further, the proposed service model facilitates flexible, reusable and scalable service composition and it follows the open reference standards of SOA. Journal: Int. The aim of this study is to investigate the barriers and issues of car exports in Iran based on Porter's diamond model of national competition. Hereupon, a related body of literature reviewed status of car exports in the world. Based on Porter's model, including the four main variables and the two mediator variables, six hypotheses have been proposed. To examine the indicators a questionnaire of 25 questions is extended. After data mining and analysis of the results, five out of six hypotheses are approved. Strategy, government, related and supportive industries, chance, demand conditions factors have been accepted after conducting T-test analysis. This approach relies on the simultaneous and complementary application of fuzzy and rough sets theories. The calculation of this probability is normally subject to judgments of experts, which imply subjectivity, imprecision and uncertainty of the results. In the proposed approach, the inferred if-then rules for a decision table generated by a simulation of 50 companies allowed the production of a knowledge base for the forecasting of classes of default probabilities. This article establishes a common thread between electro-goniometry and postural assessment techniques. The output voltages from the sensors were converted into angles by implementing LabVIEW-Interface-for-Arduino based graphical environment. Ten experienced weavers participated in the study. Dynamic recordings of the finger, wrist and elbow bending trajectories were measured using sensory electro-goniometer. Assessment of repetitive task technique was used to identify the postural risks. Based on data output from each sensor, the voltage to angle optimal linear models were obtained for the measurement range of 0°-90° with 5° steps. The accuracy of the sensors was found within the limits of traditional goniometry. The cost-benefit breakdown revealed that wearable electro-goniometer is cost-effective as compared to commercially available electro-goniometers. The low-cost electro-goniometric glove and elbow brace for measurements of hand movements could be a promising tool for postural assessment and safety systems. Journal: Int. The ecosystem of IoT may still be in a nascent state but is rapidly evolving. As far as the business demand is concerned the demand for IoT solutions seems to be coming from all industry verticals across all functions. Therefore, it is required to align different business functions to IoT. Human resource management function is one such pivotal function. It is believed that good HR practice enhances employee engagement. There is an increasing awareness that employee engagement is pivotal to successful commercial and business performance, where engaged employees are the "backbone of good working environments where people are industrious, ethical and accountable" (Levinson, 2007; Cleland et al., 2008). The paper presents an analysis of human resource management practices and IoT interventions on employee engagement at workplace. Further, the paper discusses that, in practice, organisations need to continuously realign work practices with IoT to enhance the employee engagements, and stakeholder interests. Journal: Int. Students' motive and their perception of external dynamics are closely to react to their ethical behaviour. Various education systems and technologies are believed to boost students' ethics behaviours differently. This study investigates the effect of motivation and perception of organisational politics on students' ethics. It is employed by 2,375 higher educations' students. This study expected that students' motivation and their perception of organisational politics have a significant unique effect on their ethics. Multiple regressions are used to analyse the data. The better ethical behaviour of the student is shown by a student with higher motivation and perceives less political behaviour at school. The unique findings show that motivation able to strengthens the effect of perception of organisational politics on their ethical behaviour, and perception of organisational politics strengthen the effect of students' motivation on their ethical behaviour. Recently, Li et al. proposed an authenticated key agreement scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography for mobile healthcare systems with wearable sensors. Although the scheme of Li et al. provides a complete solution for providing healthcare staff, wearable sensors, mobile users, controller nodes and the healthcare service provider with authentication and key agreement, their scheme still fails to realise mutual authentication, user privacy protection, perfect forward secrecy. This investigation discusses these limitations and presents an improved protocol based on the scheme of Li et al. The improved protocol not only avoids the limitations in previous approaches, but also increases the efficiency in computation. Journal: Int. Our small firm portfolio has higher averages with respect to alpha, total risk, firm-specific risk, expected return, actual return and abnormal return. However, this small firm portfolio has a smaller beta average, which contradicts most prior findings which suggest that small firms tend to have higher betas. The observed higher alpha coefficient (not beta coefficient) makes a major contribution to the observed higher expected return for small acquiring firms. Small acquiring firms still gain higher abnormal returns than large acquiring firms even when the higher expected returns of the small firms are incorporated in the process of the abnormal return estimation. This paper introduces the development of modern portfolio management, emphasises the importance of investment portfolio management and project portfolio management, and then discusses the methods of constructing investment portfolios and project portfolios. We use financial tools and some mathematical models to construct different portfolios according to the risk preference of investors and make some suggestions to them. The Monte Carlo methods we designed in this research will help investors improve the portfolio management optimisation. We suggest the investment strategy should be adjusted by preferences and the project with extreme grades should be reconsidered carefully. Journal: Int. It affected other regions in the world including the European Union (EU). The deregulation enabled new entities to enter the industry, which caused a pivotal market transformation. The reviewed literature focused on the systems of business travellers proves that low-cost carriers are used not only by leisure passengers but by business travellers as well. This research deals with the heterogeneity of business passengers who use full-service and low-cost airlines in the sample market of the Czech Republic. It focuses on factors that determine the airline selection process by business travellers. Based on the analysis of empirical results, this geographically scoped discussion complements similar studies conducted in countries such as the UK, Brazil and South Africa located outside the Central and Eastern Europe zone (CEE). This study examines the extent of price, membership status, influencer's impact and product attributes towards consumers buying decision of multi-level marketing's branded health supplements. A questionnaire-based survey was used to collect data from 391 consumers in Malaysia and the data was analysed by employing SPSS. The results indicated that price, membership status and influencer's impact have significant positive effect on consumers buying decision, but such effects were not shown by product attributes. The results suggested that the multi-level marketing companies should look more into the development and promotion of the product rather than the method of selling and this is important in developing strategies to be competitive in multi-level marketing business.
