It explains what e-commerce is, and how it is influencing SME businesses to shift towards online applications. In addition, it explains in detail how the roles of human factors, technological or financial factors, environmental factors, safety factors, and the lack of brick and mortar experience influence the use and establishment of an e-business. In this research, qualitative analysis was used to measure the above variables by the conducting of ten semi-structured interviews with Kuwaiti SME business owners. The finding of the analyses concluded that the measured variables mentioned above influence the establishment and practice of e-business in Kuwait, which in turn somewhat affects the brick and mortar experience. The results of this research were based on ten semi-structured interviews. The interviewees were selected using snowball sampling and the interviews were conducted over the phone due to COVID-19, which might have introduced research bias. This research will give SME business owners a wider look at the impact of virtual platforms on their businesses and show how they could benefit from this research by reviewing what needs to be changed to achieve successful business management. The fuzzy rule-based assessment of the cost benefit analysis for cloud computing provides effective cost management to the organisations. In addition to that, the current generation entrepreneurs are inspired to start new ventures with minimum financial strength. Therefore, effective cost benefit analysis became an integral part of cloud migration nowadays. Benefit of moving to cloud platform depends on numerous features like partial utilisation, data duplication, lower capital expense, frequency of new tool usage, variable workload, multi tenancy, scalability, flexibility, etc. In this research, three fuzzy inputs - probability of data duplication, capital expenditure and probability of workload variation are considered among the above parameters as fuzzy inputs to determine the cost benefit in moving to cloud. The study also explores the moderating role of consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence (CSII). It uses a cross-sectional research design by collecting responses through non-probability-based sampling. In order to test the hypothesised relationships, EFA and CFA were carried out, followed by path analysis. The findings indicate that all the direct and indirect effects were significant, thus implying partial mediation. CSII also moderates the proposed relationship between information credibility and information usefulness. The study presents reasonable justification for the mediating role of attitude in adoption of information available in the form of online reviews. It further emphasises that consumers with different susceptibility differ in the way they adopt information even when it is found to be credible. Journal: Int. In the audit area, which is intense in tasks that can be performed by machines, studies emerge showing positive results in the adoption of AI tools. The literature affirms the use of machinery such as AI in business models opens doors to the creation of value in organisations adjacent to this strategy. In order to deepen this contradictory approach between the benefits associated with the adoption of AI and the low rate of use of it, around 200 employees from mostly Portuguese companies were inquired. The research findings allow the understanding of what kind of work can be transferred for AI automatisation and present a list of technological issues to solve in this transformation. Journal: Int. The study uses an un-weighted disclosure index, comprising 266 items. Financial reporting quality (FRQ) is measured by two models namely, Jones (1991) (FRQJONM) and Dechow and Dichev (2002) (FRQDDMD), while voluntary disclosure level is considered as an independent variable. The results show that FRQJONM has a significant effect on financial ratio (FINRAT), financial statement information (FINSTIN), corporate social disclosure (CORSD), and other information (OTHINF). In regards to FRQDDMD, the outcomes indicated that general knowledge (BAISCG), financial ratio (FINRAT), other information (OTHINF), and bank size (BANSIZE) have a significant impact on FRQDDMD. The study has significant implications in developing economies for both individual and financial institutional investors, regulators, and policymakers. The study objectives were achieved by involving 150 managers and heads of department to which questionnaire copies were distributed to in 13 banks that employed the ERP system. On the basis of the findings, the factors that drove the ERP system adoption among the examined banks were self-efficacy, attitude, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The findings further indicated that ERP adoption leads to the enhancement of banks performance and that attitude, self-efficacy, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use can be manipulated to enhance such performance through their influence on the adoption of the system. It is expected that framework is used in banks as a guide to promote and facilitate the major drivers of ERP adoption. Journal: Int. One of the algorithms introduced in the literature for DCS is the dynamic fuzzy <i>c</i>-means (DFCM) clustering algorithm. We have proposed a cumulative cost curve method for the DFCM algorithm to overcome its shortcomings. Besides, we have also modified the existing structure strength expression used in the DFCM algorithm. Extensive experiments were conducted using a retail supermarket dataset with 11 new data updates to assess the performance of the proposed method in comparison with the DFCM and modified dynamic fuzzy <i>c</i>-means (MDFCM) algorithms. Finally, a DCS framework that could be used as a tool by managers is proposed to show the usefulness of the DFCM algorithm in the application domain, and it is demonstrated through a case study. This study examined the role of industry type, geographic scope, firm size, and time elapsed as contextual variables moderating the significant antecedent influence of top management support and user training and education on ERP-induced benefits and overall firm performance. Using a sample of 200 organisations and structural equation modelling, we confirmed the antecedent effect of both top management support and user training and education on ERP-induced task and process efficiency, and integration and coordination, as direct predictors of overall firm performance. Task and process efficiency was in turn found to have a significant direct effect on overall firm performance, but integration and coordination were not. Our findings also confirmed the significant moderating effects of all the four contextual variables - industry, scope, size, and time elapsed. Implications for research and practice are discussed. Motivating and making decisions are affected by the environment under intense conditions. Especially for unavoidable developments like Indonesia's many digital transformation initiatives. Despite its benefits, excessive use of contemporary technology can stress, overburden, add uncertainty and complicate students' lives. The current study aims to directly respond to naturally occurring coping mechanisms. It also aims to accurately identify complex phenomena such as technological stress and examine the influence of social psychology through an integrative framework. The empirical data processed and computed in SPSS and Warp PLS for path analysis and investigating causal relationships. The results revealed that conscious choice of problem-solving and religious coping tended to be stronger than other strategies, while social capital and psychological wellbeing were required to combat the dark side of technology. Based on an extensive literature review, this study proposed a model of entrepreneurial action that takes into account entrepreneurs' experiences of risk-taking, opportunity identification, and action. In order to validate the proposed framework, we apply the model to examine the growth trajectory of a Brazilian healthtech start-up. Therefore, this article seeks to contribute to filling a knowledge gap in the entrepreneurship literature using empirical evidence on the identification and development of a business opportunity. It became clear that the opportunity identification and development process focused on filling perceived gaps and involved expanding traditional capabilities within the activities of physicians, as well as acquiring expertise from outside the boundaries of the medical arena. Distributors are also critical in local adaptation of the company's marketing activities based on the prevalent local conditions, which is essential for market success. The distributor choice-making pattern deals with their selling and marketing parameters' everyday choice based on their appraisal of data about competitors, clients, and other local factors (the local market intelligence) helping them adapt to local customer requirements. This study uses a descriptive cross-sectional design to ascertain the reliability and validity of the proposed distributor marketing intelligence system (DMiS) model and to ascertain the degree of responsiveness exhibited by the distributors based on their market intelligence and marketing involvement, among packaged goods distributors. The resultant scale can find application in recruitment and evaluation of channel partners and in designing suitable training programs for them. Journal: Int. The increase in smartphone sales in India has caused tremendous growth in the mobile commerce sector. Recent reports predict that by the year 2025, India will have the second-largest market globally in the m-commerce sector after China. This paper explores the factors that affect mobile coupon application acceptance among Indians by using the extended UTAUT2 model as a theoretical background. This study applied SEM modelling for analysing the data with AMOS 25 software. The price value, internal social influence, external social influence, perceived risk, performance expectancy, trust, personal innovativeness, hedonic motivation, and mobile self-efficacy significantly impacted the mobile coupon application acceptance. Feature selection is a significant preprocessing step that can improve the performance of the resulted churn prediction model. Its principal objective is to find a minimum set that eliminates irrelevant or redundant features and increases the performance of learning techniques. This study proposes a new feature selection method that exploits the imperialist competitive algorithm to select the optimal feature set. To evaluate the usefulness of the proposed method, three state-of-the-art filter feature selection methods are selected. Also, we develop a wrapper feature selection method that works based on the genetic algorithm. We conduct the experiments using two churn datasets of the telecommunication industry. The experiments show that the proposed feature selection method considerably improves the performance of the generated models. Journal: Int. Information by itself was not useful and recent studies found an overload of information on the internet. The individual characteristics of online buyers determined the usefulness or otherwise of such information in online shopping. The processing style, intuitive or analytical, of a consumer made a difference on the dependency on online information. The present study demonstrated that frequent online buyers did not depend on the internet information when such information was not useful to them. The concept of internet information dependency itself was derived from media system dependency theory (MSD). The present study used an extended model of the technology acceptance model and found playfulness more significant than information dependency in online shopping intention. Journal: Int. In this paper, we use it as a lead indicator in period t to find out its effect on firm performance in period t + 2. The conceptual framework used in the paper has Tobin's q as the indicator of expected firm performance which is manifested through asset turnover ratio, gross profit margin, enterprise value/EBITDA, incremental output capital ratio, returns on retained earnings and free cash flow. Further, we do a size class analysis for the relationships. For a sample set of Indian companies, we seek answers to whether did Tobin's q could predict business efficiency, business effectiveness, innovativeness and sustainability. After identifying the partial effects, to improve our understanding of the relationship between the realised variables and Tobin's q in one go, we apply a clustering driven multi criteria decision-making model on the realised variables. When customer churn occurs, the customers leave this e-retailer and join other ones. Moreover, the market share of each e-retailer depends on its marketing rate, rival companies, and IT capacity. The competition between the companies is examined in an oligopoly market. The rate of customer reduction is considered to determine the efficient marketing policy leading to maximising each player's profit. The relation between e-retailers is modelled as an infinite horizon, non-cooperative differential game. A differential game theory is employed to obtain the market share, marketing rate, and IT capacity of each e-retailer. Besides, a numerical example and sensitivity analysis are presented to illustrate the proposed model. Finally, it was revealed that the companies do not need to spend money on marketing efforts by prioritising their IT capacity. Journal: Int. While most large companies have taken their first steps towards AI adoption, the success has remained strikingly limited. The current underdeveloped understanding of the critical success factors (CSFs) is argued to be one of the reasons for failing AI adoption. This study applies a mixed-methods approach, in which a broad information systems (IS) literature is systematically reviewed to identify CSFs relevant to AI adoption, including management support, business casing, problem orientation, data quality, data governance, cyber security and regulations. Next, an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) survey is combined with expert interviews to empirically rank and refine the identified CSFs across a multi-stage AI adoption model. The findings contribute to the scholarly discourse on CSFs relevant to AI adoption and help firms sharpen their focus and leverage their resources efficiently towards a more effective adoption of AI. Trust is one of the important variables in accepting new technologies, and relevant in 'social contract such as taxation'. However, its integration into research models has been mostly through mediation analyses; its usage as moderator has been scant in the literature. This study extends UTAUT through the examination of the moderation effect of trust in e-filing software. Quantitative methodology was adopted through a survey of 132 micro-entrepreneurs in merchandising sector in Northwestern Nigeria. The data from the sample was analysed using partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). It was found that trust in e-filing software moderates the relationship between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and e-filing acceptance. The study expands UTAUT through moderating effects of trust in e-filing software. The findings could benefit policymakers and would open window for exploring other moderating variables relating to e-filing adoption. Journal: Int. This increases the demand for uninterrupted IT services to intrigue towards disaster recovery measures. For many decades, there have been enormous investments in 'hard' science and no corresponding levels of support for endeavours to understand vulnerability. Disaster recovery plays a crucial role from failures, human mistakes and its unpredictability nature. This work demonstrates the application of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approaches in the form of the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method to identify and prioritising disaster recovery attributes for betterment. The present study tested the measurement invariance of the end user computing satisfaction (EUCS) instrument among the industry sub-groups of a university, a manufacturing organisation, and a hospital in order to consider the scale as a standard instrument to measure the end user satisfaction in information technology and its applications. The invariance of user satisfaction based upon the population sub-groups of age, gender, and work experience and management position were also tested across these industry sub-groups. The EUCS instrument was found to be robust for the measurement of the first order factors of end user satisfaction, content, accuracy, format, ease of use and timeliness. Data were harvested from managers of pharmaceutical firms in Jordan using a five-point Likert scale administered to a purposive sample consisted of 200 managers. Responses used in data analysis composed 71% of the distributed questionnaires. The results supported the hypotheses that GHRM exerts significant effects on CSR and economic performance while CSR shows significant effects on social and environmental performance. The study contributes to the body of knowledge on TBL of performance through emphasising that GHRM is a key antecedent of CSR as well as GHRM and CSR are crucial prerequisites for organisations to boost their TBL of performance. Meanwhile, scholars are recommended to examine such results to deep our understanding of the effect of GHRM and SCR on TBL of performance, as well, managers are required to pay a great attention to both GHRM and CSR due to their simultaneous effects on TBL of performance. In spite of the great influx of these artefacts, understating the thought process of the end user (teacher or taught) has always remained a puzzle. As the requirement seeking process and the decision making process of the users is much volatile and largely depends on the subjective factors of the societies, there is every need to track the minds of the end users from time to time. The present study is exploring the role of students' maturity in assessing the benefits of video lecture capturing in Qatar. The students of College of Business and Economics at Qatar University are considered for the study. Apart from seeking the opinion of the students using standard scale, they are allowed to share their views for the betterment of VLC system. Journal: Int. The concept of multi-tenancy facilitates cloud service providers to leverage the cost by providing services to multiple users at the same time via shared resources. In such circumstances, service level agreement (SLA), a set of rules between the consumer and provider, carry a great significance to ensure the quality of service and expected outcomes. In order to settle disputes arising on the expected level of service, the cloud SLA brings a few guidelines and rule sets based on prior agreements between these two parties. So, as a cloud customer it is quite challenging to decide the most suitable cloud provider based on the SLA commitments proposed by providers. In this research, the fuzzy weighted sum model and weighted product model method are applied in this context. Journal: Int. Experiences shared on Twitter help government to proactively take timely decisions. However, it becomes very challenging to classify only complaint tweets from excessive tweets. Existing studies used supervised learning algorithm but with manually created training data which is a very laborious process. So, we propose a novel co-training semi supervised algorithm using dynamic features to create huge amount of accurate training data by utilising limited labelled samples. Against the existing fixed static features, proposed dynamic features get recalculated using initial and newly labelled data after each iteration of the algorithm until all unlabeled data get labelled and hence become more relevant to distinguish between complaint and non-complaint. Verified on the tweets shared by citizens of Mumbai, result with 94% accuracy and 93% F1 score shows our approach is very promising. Journal: Int. Considerable research has focused on the contributions that workplace spirituality has on knowledge sharing; far less research has examined whether spirituality can mitigate or lessen knowledge hiding behaviour. This article determines the interaction between workplace spirituality and knowledge hiding behaviour among bank workers in Jordan. The bank employees were sampled randomly (n = 156), and the collected data is analysed using the PLS-SEM technique. The findings suggest that workplace spirituality may play a greater role in diminishing knowledge hiding behaviour. In particular, workplace spirituality diminished evasive and playing dumb knowledge hiding behaviour, but not rationalised knowledge hiding. This article concludes with discussions on the theoretical and practical implications of the findings as well as directions for future research. Journal: Int. These issues affect directly or indirectly human beings, which can be overcome by green practices implementation. Today, every company is trying to implement green practices in its organisation to take competitive advantage as well as due to societal and regulatory pressures. However, due to presence of inhibitors the implementation of green practices in any organisation is difficult. The objective of this work is to analyse the role of inhibitors in implementation of green practices in Indian auto ancillary manufacturing industries. An attempt is made to identify the inhibitors and to analyse their role in green practices implementation. The interpretive structural modelling (ISM) approach has been used to develop contextual relationship among the identified hindering factors whereas, matriced 'impacts croises-multiplication applique' and 'classment' (MICMAC) analysis has been used to determine the driving power and dependence power of the hindering factors. However, extant literature available lacks enough evidence on the formation of shoppers' attitude towards such devices. Extending the theory of reasoned action (TRA), the present study determines the factors that influence consumers' attitude towards these devices, further leading to their satisfaction with smart gadgets. The paper also explores the moderating role of fear of technological advances (FTA) in the formation of attitude. Besides this, the study examines users' intention to recommend the smart device in online reviews. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modelling on data collected from 326 respondents. The research indicates the main effect of hedonic values and innovativeness and the significant moderation effect of FTA on attitude. The findings provide smart gadget marketers with useful implications for developing and offering augmented marketing and communication strategies. Journal: Int. This analysis requires identifying and classifying the costs of the technology solution to support decision-making processes. Although previous research has developed cost taxonomies that support the identification of costs, companies still face difficulties due to technology diversity, the generic cost categories, and insufficient guidance for use. There is a need for supporting investment decisions and mitigating cost omissions and cost overruns. To address this gap, a cost taxonomy that provides the means to identify and classify costs of a technology solution is required. We propose a taxonomy that fits with the particular needs of technology solutions considering the technology deployment model, technology services required, and its life cycle phases. We evaluate the proposed taxonomy and the results demonstrating benefits that comprise lowering the risk of cost omission and increasing detail of the costs. Journal: Int. A conceptual model was designed with the dimensions such as happiness, recognition, gratitude, physical health, and negative emotion to measure students' satisfaction. Martin Seligman's 'theory of well-being' was employed to measure the happiness of the students. Data was collected from 202 respondents and a structural equation modelling (SEM) approach was employed for analysis. The results of the study indicate that physical health, gratitude, and negative emotion influence the satisfaction of students in higher education. It was found that positive emotion and relationships have a significant influence on the happiness of the students. A relationship between satisfaction and happiness was developed. In extension to the present study's findings, a model and scorecard are proposed that can be used to measure the happiness and satisfaction of students in higher educational institutions in India. However, very few research has focused on how consumer trust in mHealth services evolves over time. And research has not yet measured the potential role of trust or how early-trust might influence the post-adoption and usage. To fill this gap, this study has drawn on extended valence theory and expectation-confirmation theory in a longitudinal study of trust in mhealth services. This study examined how other beliefs of the consumers (perceived usefulness) interacts with trust and how these beliefs together impacts the users' behaviour and intention concerning mHealth services at both pre and post usage. Data were collected from the university student's pre and post usage with the duration of eight weeks. The outcome of the study exhibited that trust and perceived usefulness are crucial beliefs at both pre and post stages in consumer acceptance of mHealth services. Journal: Int. While many studies have investigated the CSS, little attention is paid to the users' post-adoption to CSS, specifically when CSS is adopted for organisational users in performing work-related tasks. Drawing upon two theoretical models, namely: post-adoption theory and the DeLone and McLean's information systems success model, this study aims to examine critical antecedences of CSS users' continuance use intention in the context of organisational usages. Valid data were retrieved from an online survey collected by a total of 302 Taiwanese employees who are active CSS adopters, using CSS to assist their work-related performance, and then analysed by PLS-SEM approach. The empirical results further affirmed the significant roles of system quality, perceived usefulness, and privacy concerns on users' continuance intention. Interestingly, findings show that users' satisfaction doesn't have a significant impact on continuance intention, whereas information quality, system quality, and service quality are found to have a positive impact on users' satisfaction. The discussion and implementation are conclusive in the current paper. Journal: Int. The users' trust and spirit reflect the combination of both ideas. The study's results show that this combination could enhance the users' cognitive flow when they make mobile payments. It implies that information and communication technology managers should consider information systems' reputations and users' faithfulness of appropriation. The reputation that is in the attribution theory suggested that information service officers should always maintain users' trust in their business relationships. On another side, the appropriation's faithfulness in the adaptive structuration theory implied that information service officers should have strategies to enhance users' spirits. Therefore, this study infers that trust and people's spirits could either complement or alternate other logical reasoning to explain the use of mobile payments. It implies that chief information service officers should emphasise users' spirits and trust in a combined fashion. This combination had consequences for developing users' experiential knowledge. Academia is also following the suit by tailoring the technologies as per the need of the students/learners. However, there are no commonly accepted mechanisms to evaluate them from time to time. Hence, the present study aimed to evaluate the video lecture capturing (VLC) method that is carried out at leading business school of Korea. A structured survey tool is developed to draw the feedback of the students regarding the VLC and 131 responses are collected in this regard. In addition to the responses, the grades of the students before and after deploying VLC are considered to evaluate whether there is any significant influence of VLC and the results are tested at 5% confidence level. A good proportion of students (around 60%) responded positively for the benefits of VLC. Journal: Int. Keeping track of student's attendance is a challenging task especially for bigger classes using manual paper-based. Facial authentication is increasing more significant with the rapid appearance of image processing technology. Consequently, many studies have explored the integration of identification systems into the procedure of affirming onsite presence. Yet, lesser studies have been on taking university physical attendance to support process efficiency and cost optimisation, leading towards enhanced reputation. To understand the paradigm shift of digitisation, a mixed method of primary data collection using an online survey among academician and students were deployed. The studies analyse various technology-enabling factor while highlighting future direction. However, these practices, although consolidated, may not be the best ones for a specific context. This paper aims to present a set of guidelines for software development in start-ups. It also aims to show the results of three studies to validate and refine the proposed guidelines: a confirmatory survey, a focus group, and an expert panel. The participants were actors from both the industry and the academia. The results revealed that the guidelines obtained a positive perception from the participants of both contexts. Based on their approval, we can infer that those guidelines can increase the quality of products generated by start-ups and the chances of success for these organisations. Besides, the need for some improvements has been identified, and they will be implemented in the next version of the guidelines. Journal: Int. Using the data obtained from 379 respondents in India, ten hypotheses derived from the experimental model are evaluated using a structural equation modelling technique. Vividness, perceived usefulness (PU), and attitude have been shown to have a significant positive impact on the behavioural intentions (BIs) of job-seekers, although perceived ease of use (PEOU) did not. Furthermore, perceived internet stress (PIS) is observed to be a significant antecedent PEOU; and PEOU is of PU. Such findings broaden our knowledge of e-recruiting in various ways and offer qualitative insights into the potential impact of website functionality on the attractiveness of job-seekers. However, these insights are based on a single network relation (i.e., uniplex social ties) between software developers and do not consider the multiple network relations (i.e., multiplex social ties) that truly exist among project members. This study reassesses the understanding of software developer networks and what it means for performance in software development settings. A systematic review of SNA studies between 1990 and 2020 across six digital libraries within the IS and management science domain was conducted. The central contributions of this paper are an in-depth overview of SNA studies to date and the establishment of a research agenda to advance our knowledge of the concept of multiplexity on how a multiplex perspective can contribute to a software developer's coordination of tasks and performance advantages. The USA is the major export market for the Canadian forest products industry, although some Canadian provinces are also exporting forest products to other global markets. However, it is very difficult for each province to develop accurate demand forecasts, given the number of factors determining the demand of the forest products in the global markets. We develop multi-layer feed-forward artificial neural network (ANN) models for demand forecasting of the Canadian forest products industry. We find that the ANN models have lower prediction errors and higher threshold statistics as compared to that of the traditional models for predicting the demand of the Canadian forest products. Accurate future demand forecasts will not only help in improving the short-term profitability of the Canadian forest products industry, but also their long-term competitiveness in the global markets.
