The current study investigates the effects on tourism with importance on promoting, positioning and shaping the image of the destination. This study aims to understand the influence of an event to the value of the destination while addressing topics like sustainability, image and value of the destination, the local community, and value creation. To test the hypothesis, we followed a mixed-method approach through a survey applied to visitors of an event and to residents, followed by qualitative investigation in the form of a semi-structured interview. The findings reveal that with the exception of the local community, the event has a positive influence on other measures of value. The conclusions drawn from this study can provide a model for strategic assessment of the three forces - event, destination and local community. Journal: Int. Using probit models on a sample of 1,965 manufacturing firms from seven South American countries, the effects of innovation activities on product and process innovation are determined. Findings indicate that there is a positive relationship. However, these relationships can be different depending on the type of innovation and the size of the firm. We found that most of these activities are related more to product innovation than process innovation, and these relationships have greater statistical significance in SMEs than large companies. Lastly, given the positive effect on these relationships, we conclude by highlighting the importance of managers crafting their innovation portfolios properly and the need for further research to determine the innovative behaviour of manufacturing companies in the context of their respective developing country. This study applies Miles and Snow's (1978) business strategy typology: prospectors and defenders. This study takes manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2011-2016 as the research object, as they have complete business processes to better describe complete business strategy implementation. Research in emerging markets, such as Indonesia, will provide a complete picture of the impact of business strategy on business performance. The results show that prospectors have better financial performance than defenders and will last for two years after the strategy was executed. This study also finds that prospectors who are committed to innovation have a better performance than defenders, especially in high levels of industrial competition. This result is essential for managers to adopt a suitable business strategy under the competitive environment. Journal: Int. In the hypotheses, it is argued that the age of a firm and its technical capital help to increase its attractiveness and therefore its centrality. However, the value of signals in the alliance formation process is dependent on the quality of a firm's home country-governance (e.g., level of property protection or degree of corruption). The age of a firm represents a signal of trust, which is more important in countries with a low governance quality. In contrast, the technical capital of a firm signals an attractive resource endowment, which is more important in high governance countries. Overall, hypotheses are supported (in a meta-analysis of 85 independent studies). The study contributes to the literature by showing how home country institutions have severe effects on alliance strategies and the behaviour of multinational firms. Journal: Int. Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyse the factors that contribute to graduates' satisfaction by focusing on gender and job experience (employment status and salary income). We considered two measures of graduates' satisfaction: the perception of the graduate regarding the quality of the formation given by the program of the university that they attended (subjective) and the average of graduates' score performance from all the career (objective). The data were collected through a telephone interview with graduates who had finished their studies between 2013 and 2018. We employ regression models on a final sample of 1,261 Colombian university graduates. The results show that there are significant differences between men's and women's graduate satisfaction and employment status. However, we could not find differences between gender related to the salary income. Finally, the finding provides valuable information on the factors that contribute to graduates' satisfaction as guides to Colombian regulators, universities, decision-makers, and policymakers. These people should consider our findings to promote a strategy that increases job market opportunities for graduates through either obligatory laws or suggestions. Journal: Int. Data have been collected from 256 employees using a self-administrated survey questionnaire. The convenience sampling technique is used. Validity and reliability tests were performed. Study hypotheses have been tested using multiple regression analysis. The most prominent result is a positive and significant effect of TM practices on employee job satisfaction. Opposite to previous studies, the study concludes that attracting talent does not have a significant impact on employee job satisfaction. In addition, the results reveal a significant statistical impact of talent development and retention on employee job satisfaction. In terms of contribution, this first study investigates the impact of TM practices on employee job satisfaction in Jordan. The study guides managers in the banking sector due to the provided suggestions on how managers can facilitate employee job satisfaction by implementing key TM practices. Journal: Int. Green human resource management (GHRM) is one of those practices that may reduce the adverse impact of human-related activities on the environment. This research paper analyses the factors that lead to the implementation of GHRM in organisations through interpretative structural modelling (ISM). It is a conceptual study. ISM has been used to identify and analyse the factors leading to GHRM and develop a relationship among them. Further, MICMAC analysis is conducted to delineate the autonomous, linkage, dependent, and independent factors. In this study, nine factors are identified and a hierarchal relationship has been established. Green team is found to be the most important factor followed by green cafeteria and green employee involvement for implementation of GHRM in organisations. Journal: Int. This study aims to test a comprehensive model of institutional pressures and examines the mediating role of supply chain coordination between green strategy and its competitive advantage. Data were obtained from 212 managers of Vietnam's footwear exporters and then analysed using structural equation modelling that employed partial least squares. The findings show that market pressure, regulatory pressure and competitive pressure are institutional pressures of green export strategy. Importantly, the findings confirm that the firm's green strategy does not directly but indirectly help the firm reach the source of competitive advantage through the mediating role of supply chain coordination. This study sheds new insights and contributes both theoretical and practical implications for environmental sustainability. Journal: Int. This study analyses effect of eWOM dimensions on customer's purchasing intention via online community on platform of social networks. This research is descriptive-survey type and data were collected from a sample of 380 Iranian respondents of LG products using online questionnaire. SPSS and Smart PLS software packs were utilised for analysis. The results showed that eWOM behaviour, strong and weak social ties/communications of eWOM and informative dimensions were the main factors for occurrence of eWOM behaviours in online purchase. Also, the given results indicated that perceived quality might also impact e-trust showing improvement of customer's satisfaction. The performance of main features in social networks (trust and high quality) can improve eWOM activities in social networks, but characteristics of normative influence only helps to improvement of relations among e-trust with perceived quality. During great uncertainty, knowing all the details count as to be successful and to gain a new business. This research was designed to understand the main causes to close a deal in B2B, in the management consulting around Europe. The aim was to determine if it is possible to isolate the relevant features responsible for the acceptance of service proposals in management consulting context based on historical data. The objectives were to highlight these variables, use them to construct a predictive model, and suggest performance improvements, to allow organisations to manage their time more effectively and efficiently. The sample was used to train a logistic regression model which achieved excellent classifications. The findings of the research rank the most critical success factors in B2B consulting which determines customer conversion and shows that variables' technical credibility at the proposal stage and budget availability are the ones more influential to close a deal. Although useful to direct investments and guide reforms, researchers associate EDBI with problems such as analyses from very different countries, and data quality and calculation errors. This research seeks to overcome these problems with two objectives. First, to propose the South American Business environment cost index (BE-cost-index). Second, identify which cost sub-indicators most impact the business environment in Brazil. Principal component analysis is employed to construct the BE-cost-index. The opinion of Brazilian entrepreneurs and the analytical hierarchy process are used to identify the sub-indicators that most impact the business environment in Brazil. The contribution of the research is to offer useful information to guide/prioritise reforms that improve the quality of the business environment. Journal: Int. This can be evidenced by studying the credibility of WOM and the credibility of eWOM and their impact on engagement. Currently, there is no evidence from other studies to validate this relationship. This article initially analyses how message quality, integrity, extraversion, and ease of use are antecedents of WOM and eWOM credibility and then analyses how the latter generates engagement. This research studies 645 people who for different reasons made trips to national and/or international destinations, and with this input, a structural equation model is presented using SmartPLS (3.0). As a result, it was found that there is a positive relationship between the credibility of WOM, the credibility of eWOM, and engagement. Companies will have to prepare their financial statements taking sustainability aspects into account. This influence can be analysed in future analyses. The publication of this information often leads to a reaction from investors. Previously published studies have shown a correlation between the textual sentiment of corporate publications and securities returns. These studies have focused particularly on the US region. Consequently, this paper can selectively fill the research gap for the German-speaking region. Therefore, it is an academically relevant topic. In this study, companies from the Prime Standard stock market segment for 2018 were examined to determine whether there is a correlation between the textual sentiment of the management report and the company's credit rating. It is found that there is a significant relationship between the negative sentiment and the word count on credit risk. Journal: Int. One of the alternatives to improve performance in BDA contexts is to establish collaboration agreements. However, previous research has ignored the effects inter-organisational collaboration could have on supply chain relationships. Grounded on the relational view theory, this study aimed to assess the effects collaboration has on organisational performance, especially when mediated by BDA capabilities. A quantitative study was carried out with Brazilian retail companies and data were analysed using partial least squares - structural equation modelling. The retail sector is characterised as highly dynamic and competitive, so the moderating effect of the technological dynamism and competitive intensity on the relationship between collaboration and organisational performance has also been assessed. We have found out that collaboration has a direct effect on organisational performance, mediated by BDA capabilities and moderated by technological dynamism and competitive intensity. Journal: Int. In San Luis Potosi, the presence of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the automotive sector has fostered growth and shaped regional strategy. The sector is considered one of the three state priorities as an outcome of smart specialisation strategies. The article follows a case-study methodology based on secondary data as well as 16 interviews and 40 responses to a perception survey to shed light on the role of MNEs in regional innovation. The findings show that the presence of MNEs in the region has had productivity impacts but limited innovation impacts. A framework is suggested to guide policy action according to the MNE as well as regional characteristics. Moreover, the findings reveal the importance of facilitating related entrepreneurship.
